Who's sales are not down??? Wal Mart's sales are down. Newly opened Publix are NOT thriving. Competitive Earthfares are NOT booming with business. Winn Dixie will make it. They are striving to be more consistent everyday. I believe in them and will stand by them.

Honestly i think what you guys are saying is just wishful thinking. Winn Dixie is not thriving nor are its retiree's that just lost benefits and retirement pay. and wachovia lost on there bail Winn-Dixie out scheme when they had to merge and sell out to wells Fargo firstly. Secondly they just had millions of held up shares released to all the lean holders and financial institutions, workers they screwed previously in the mid to late 90's, that were released this year in to the people who hate themas hands. Thirdly and probably most important they have just finished screwing a whole new batch of people thousands by my count that worked within the company. let me tell you allot more experienced and hard working batch of people that were just let go this past couple of years then previous batches of people. I mean I'm seeing women as frig en store assistants and crew managers and dairy and receiving managers now(I have never met a woman i cant out work). I'm sorry you just can't match a competitor like publix and walmart's guys that have since employed Winn-Dixie's hard working most recent batches of workers that had been let go and added to there own brand. Winn Dixie better start looking through the applications for previous hires and let the ball breaker mofo's back in those stores. Hiring new bee's and 22 year old managers just isn't doing it for them. Learn to not follow the book so closely to, members of management. Man you guys went from 16.00 a share in 2009 to 6.82 Look at the lay offs and fires invoked by the company at and through the same time they let all there hard workers go in 2009 mainly but some before and in to now now after that go look at the share worth and examine the plummets every time it's bad they let these last few rounds of people go yikes. pay these guys some money to come on.

I work for a small town WD and we keep having hours cut out of our store. We use to run the store on about 2500 hours now we are down to about 1500 hours. Im not sure how much more our small town WD can take. It feels like a wave of closings may be on the way. Its sad:(

I worked for w/d and they keep cutting the store hours in our store also I told my district supervisor (NOT A PROBLEM) Business will adjust itself to where we can handle it and when that happens then you will probably cut hours again. note to company if someone is there to help your customer then they will come back if not they won't.
