This story requires more information. What does a company have to do be considered "adoption friendly?" Are companies discriminating against employees who were adopted as children or against employees who adopt children themselves? Sounds like a very odd "award." This charity may not be an affiliate of Wendy's but it surely receives a large bulk of its funding from Wendys and certainly wouldn't exist if not for Wendys. Again, more information please!

It is based on financial reimbursement the company gives the employee to cover adoption expenses, paid time off, and other factors.
And I agree that it would have been nice for the Dispatch to provide a little more detail. It took me 30 seconds to Google the info.
