I work for WF right now as a banker. It's been my first real quarter and I not going to be able to comp. So I was told I will be written up for this. And if I can't comp next quarter I will be fired. I hate this job and bank but I'm scared of being let go. If I'm fired will I be able to receiver unemployment? I have a house with a prego wife and I am so stressed.

I am a Wachovia employee for 13 years. I am also a single mother going to college to get my teaching degree. I have been in school for the past 6 years because I can only go part time because of work. I now have a class that starts in January that is from 4-7 Wednesdays and I usually work Wednesdays till 5:15. I offered to stay later on Friday in order to leave at 3:15 to go to class. They said, in the Wells world, part timers don't have a set schedule and we cannot change anyone's schedule at this time. I offered to work a bunch of different days and they said no. They forced me to quit since I have to take this class to graduate and this is my last semester. I am very disappointed that I had to lose my job because Wells Fargo couldn't make a measly 2 hour schedule adjustment. I guess you have to be on-call in case they need you, that is why part-timers can't have a set schedule. I have had it with this bank and its pressure to sell and I feel as though I am harrassing the customers with different products everytime they come in. I gave a lot to this company in the 13 years that I have been there and this is the thanks I get.

Roanoke call center - legacy Wachovia employee - I have been through several mergers over the years and while it has not been fun on the receiving end..never in my wildest fears did I ever think it would be as bad as it has become. Wells does not care about customers nor their employees. If there is an issue we have no where to go and no one to turn to. Managers care not whether you live or breath as there is always someone less experienced ready to fill your chair. Productivity over quality..thats the Wells way.

I recently came into Wells and I've been at 2 bankes previosly. I have to say that this is the worst company I've worked for! They don't care about their employees and make us do manditory overtime. From 8:30am to 7:00pm sometimes later. 6 days a week! When do I have time to sleep? I was told in training that they aren't fans of overtime but that was a big lie. They want blood from a rock and then ask you why didn't you get the blood and what is your plan to get the blood from the rock? HR says that everything management does is right. With these insane maximum goals they make you do or you can't go home. Revoking already approved PTO because of goals?!? No wonder why the turnover is high.

I am still employed for Wachovia since our merger is in June. Let me tell you that this people are not exagerating. It is Hell... You have to push push and push accounts that customers do not need and if you do not ,make your sale goals they write you up. Not to mention the head of security keeps sending emails how not to open accounts that are not going to be used. And yet I guess she does not hear how we are getting harass to make our friends and family members open accounts. Now I been written up for refusing to translate since I do not get paid extra for the service. I never felt so discriminated. I am obligated to translate because I speak spanish. Where in the teller duties does it require you to translate??????????

This company only looks out for themselves. You can meet all your goals and still get chewed out on the conference calls that they make you do 3 times a day! You can be using that time to make calls or something productive. Yet and still don't get sick and have to call out because your manager won't approve your day off to go to the doctor! They will work you into the ground if they could, then tell you to get up and get solutions! You try to go threw the proper channels of requesting off and every effort gets denied. Then you're forced to call out then get written up for it! WHAT DO YOU DO???

I agree Florida. I am bilingual as well & I feel like wells Fargo takes advantage of us. We don't get paid extra and get on top of that do other peoples jobs. I was a teller @ my store & I quit because I couldn't stand being there anymore. The branch manager was always pushing solutions and as a result bankers would do unethical things. Such as making customers get things they didn't need or even lying about products and features. I helped the Hispanic customers because if I didn't the bankers would make them open 2 or 3 checking or savings account or open express sends without their knowledge. I feel like because of the pressure of selling they would resort to such unethical actions. I'm disgusted with Wells Fargo. I wish the government would step in & regulate the way they do buisness. What made things worse is that the branch manager is a jerk. If you didn't make your goals he would huff and puff until he somehow got them. He was angry when I refused to make a list of my friends and family for jumping into January. I'm sorry but I'm was not about to get harassed & let my family get harassed about products they don't need. This guy is such a jerk and he knew people were taking advantage of customers. What goes around comes around & eventually he's going to get his. Wells Fargo doesn't care about anything except numbers & money!!!

I just started a group for former Wells Fargo Employees on Facebook. It is a completely private group, so no one can see the content or members. Please join! It's interesting to hear why others left or got let go. Class Action law suit anyone?

I have worked for Wells Fargo for 15 years. Wells Fargo does not care about its employees. I have not gotten a raise for 3years making 11 dollars a hour. We have to stand all day no breaks, ask to get a glass of water use the restroom. Wells Fargo wants employees to sell accounts and bring more customers in the bank, but Wells Fargo does not hire more employees having customer wait in a long line. Wells Fargo is the worst company to work for. Tucson az

I am a teller at wells fargo and i have only been there for a short time. Ihave traveled to help other branches and the "other branch" never loaned me money right, so it looked like i was short/over in outtages. Now they said today that i could loose my job if they don't find the $990 overage when i balanced tonight. It could just be a "typo" or something I keyed in wrongly! They stress on us daily to open checking accounts and build rapport with customers, "while" we do transactions, and then they grade us on it. The pressure is too much. But i try my damdest. My husband is laid off and im the only one working.

I worked for Wachovia for 9 years. They do not treat employees good. I was tired of their lies about my salary and quit my job. Customers were very happy with me but my manager was very rude.

Well I was let go about 3 weeks ago, Im telling you i hated the place anyway, my manager was rude, they watched us tellers like we were criminals, and they set me up to look like i was short, just so they could fire me! my manager done it i know it, i worked at another bank for 2 years, and was never off balance like they stated! when i was hired, they never told us we had to sell, sell, sell like freakin car salesmen, everyday they wanted more. i found out recently they fired a great employee, who sold a ton of checking accts, noboody has a steady job there. wells fargo can kiss my A$$

Yes, i miss my customers, they never complained or had a problem with me either, it was the managers who could never do wrong, and us tellers were treated poorly. i was set up to "look" like i was outta balance, because my lead teller was a Bit$h from the day she came to my branch. she even treated elderly customers horribly...no body ever said a word to her about it...

I have, today, put in my two weeks notice. This bank openly disciplines its employees for 'sick time' taken to care for immediate family members. I refused to sign the formal write up and instead opted for my resignation letter. While I understand the corporation's lack of ethics, as the machines they are, I cannot accept a lack of ethics by those in managerial positions.
This bank under pays their employees for the amount of work, under appreciates employees by considering them a commodity and treating them as such, and avidly disregards personal dignity in exchange for sales numbers.
