It seems like nothing is ever enough for this company anymore. How sad to start changing how you use to care about your employees. its all about how much you can get out of them everyday, even when they come to work sick. when we are slammed with a 4 or 5 sometimes 6 pages of lists. change this change that everyday, all night. customers are saying why do you guys keep moving stuff all around? What happend to the Great Job comments anymore? NOW its always negative comments. If you want Great customer service then you need to try and keep your employees happy!! and whats this about not being able to REQUEST a Day off in the system anymore?? Thats total CRAP!! and I don't think that is even LEGAL to tell employees they cant request a day when they need a Certain day off for something special or an Appt. not right at all!! ok Im done VENTING. thanks

What's really happening at the stores is the inability of employees to focus in on the important things (customer service, outs, inventory levels, bay pulling) because of these "4-6 page lists". The store managers are trying to appease multiple layers of management - from the CL to the corporate office. What happens when employees are delt a 4-6 page list? Customer service takes a back seat with the employees focusing on completeing the "list".

4 to 6 page lists?! of what?! I struggle to come up with 20 good notes every day. I think my last 4-5 daily lists took a grand total of about 1-2 hours to complete. Not for each list, for all 4-5 days combined!

These 3 or more page lists are done by store managers out to impress their CLs and/or DMs when they come in to review their notes as part of their visits.

Oh, I understand the mindset behind the MGR's who write long list of notes. I'm just trying to imagine coming up with such a long list and actually taking the time to write or type it out. I've got bigger fish to fry and I don't see any point in demoralizing the staff with such a practice.

Thanks! This is exactly what I'm facing right now. Eom inventory on liq cig and photo, 7200 ad tags, a saturday truck, and the silly store manager is writing a giant 6 + page list right now. Now guess what happens Monday when the list is not done?( did I mention no floor person to help?)

I love my job

That manager is an idiot if they are really doing this.My list I wrote out this morning was half a page and most of that dealt with all the tags, suggestive sell and readerboard changes.

I had just a couple ends listed to change and they were both done this morning. The rest of the list was smart count and price change stuff.Big outdoor decor weekend so all I want done is take of customers and get the tags up.

I didn't write any notes today. Staff hung tags and then did truck. Sounds like your store's got too much stress. MGR might need to get a hit of that chronic with Snoop Dogg.

If you know snoop send him over. Ya she's trying to show off for her boss' I think. Problem is, she's shelling out pips and record of discussions like they were candy. . Unreasonable notes, unreasonable expectations.

That's what I believe. My mgts are always on me about stuff like that. Sorry if I spend eons with someone when they ask for it or not. It's kinda expected.(From a CS standpoint)

Although I'm a BA I will help anyone with any issue as long as its within my capabilities. I got heat for that 2x today. Oh well.

Wake up people. Most rumors have already come true. We can only guess the rest will too. Sm's will not have jobs after
2014. They do not care about anyone just the numbers. Did anyone notice the increase in the numbers in august and september on operating statements? Then in Oct. They took a hit? Funny once the fiscal numbers were posted we were told " it was a mistake" yeah not. Wake up! It is all going to happen. They find out the rest of Edison in Jan. You will c.

CVS and RAD store managers do not make the kind of salaries that WAG managers do. I suppose that is why they would want to do this.

But more importantly, is this going to be a real thing? Removal of store managers?

Many great points. The biggest warning sign for me is the moving of employee management to other store management - pharmacy staff to the RXM and everyone else to the EXA/ASM. They're setting it up to show that the store manager is not needed. And while many of you see this as a good thing (which in a perfect world it is), just think about how hard someone will work to run a store when their salary is significantly less than what a SM makes now.

Just confirmed! Walgreens store managers will be drug out into the streets on Feb. 1, 2014 and urinated on! Well, actually, the DM has to do each one, so it will take about a week.

Please prepare your R. Kelly protection suits now.

Yeah our sm got mad that an employee wouldn't let some crazy guy in the bathroom while on their lunch break. Then he posts some shit that we have to do that or get written up, Last time I checked walgreens said we can get fired for working off the clock?

Get rid of these useless sacks as soon as possible as they have nothing better to do apparently.
