I'd go to Aldi. They seem very minimal, marketing, product wise, etc - it means all their profits are theirs i.e. for employees. I'd do it! Best of luck, Stud!:)

If the Store Managers Walgreens has in place now worked for Aldi a majority of them would be terminated for their job performance.

Just know that if you work for Aldi you will be expected to earn your pay as a Store Manager.

Which is the opposite of Walgreens. They put all these slacker Store Managers in place because they grew too fast. Aldi will not think twice about replaceing you.

Seems like these Walgreens Store Managers will need to take a hit in the near future. So far Corp has gone after Assistants, floor crew and now EXA's.

I never see any Aldi employees where I'm at look suicidal like Walgreens employees. Jump ship before it sinks.

You could look at Follett. Most stores no weekend or Holidays.

Walfgreens is for industry standard people. Aka they want dollar tree employees. Take the Aldi job.

Aldi, no brainer. If you stay at Walgreens you will evantually have a target on your back. Once you have enough tenure in and you've moved up the pay scale they will get rid of you. If they can pay someone 4-6 dollars less an hour to do the same job even if that person does it badly they will do it. Run, do not walk to the Aldi and be treated like a human.

The employees are paid a ton more than most retail. so you won't be working with depressed zombies.

In life its not all about money but happiness , money eases things . decision making is like poker , the person making fewer mistakes wins the pot . So will the move make you happy , give a challenge , keep things interesting , new people to meet . Search what you seek in life , and if the criteria and your gut feeling tells you to move , take a chance , change is scary , but nothing ventured nothing gained .

Hey stud, I worked for Aldi for about a year. Was acting store manager also before Walgreens. The pay is great but the work is very hard, and I'm in great shape. Payroll is non existant. Just be aware that the DM's are really young and think they know everything. I liked the pay but the drive and work was too much after awhile, but I would take it. I'm a mgt, former Kay Bee, Family Dollar Manager. I think my days at Wag may be numbered. More experience mgts ahead of me.
