They definitely called it a road show and our MVP was definitely there. :-/ . I really hate secrets, especially ones involving me.

I'm interested in what will be said in our roadshow. As is, I posted what was explained in our district meeting earlier this week only to notice others posting very different, sometimes contradictory information from their district meetings. Items that were very specifically answered (no, there will not be a CL running multiple stores and the SM is staying in place) were things that supposedly other districts had confirmed are changing.
Of course I would rather believe that we don't have people on here lying or making up information on such specifics for any reason, but it does cause me to wonder why this information is varied. At the same time I have seen posters on here from my own area claiming that our DM told them specifics that contrast (that I don't believe) what we were told in our district meeting, so that also makes things seem less reliable here.
Maybe it's the typical lack of effective communication among Walgreens management. I cannot count how many times I've been told one thing by my manager and then told something completely different by my DM. Sometimes, that's the Walgreens way.

Our dm told us that they were not allowed to say anything. When we asked him a question about the changes he checked his computer for the appropriate response. He also said that after the roadshow we (sm) were not allowed to say anything to the store staff for two weeks. B/c it takes two weeks for a person to go through all the emotions of the changes, and we will be better prepared to deal with the changes after the two weeks.

From what I heard from my DM, no one is going to be fired or demoted. The changes will take place over time as they did with the STL position.

DM stressed that this is a two to three year process. They are changing the management structure, somehow, to operate the stores under the Way to Wellness model. Excellent customer service, etc. Only the MVP will explain at road shows. Until then, no one knows except for the Dallas attendees. Absolutely zero indication from DM about the restructuring. Can only speculate what the titles will be and who will fill the positions.

if the changes are no big deal and nobody is getting demoted or fired why all the secrecy? Why so many upper mgmt meetings and everyone being sworn to keep quiet? Why??? When mgts lost OT it came via email and was treated as no big deal. When an mgt was replaced with stl yet again NBD. When simc was recoded to stl also NBD. This is being treated as a BFD. Definitely something big is coming.

I agree. Either upper management is playing mind games with their employees or they are being tight-lipped about the changes for a major reason. Either way, they are not doing their employees or company any good by being silent.

So the PowerPoint presentation on the 4 Emotional Stages of Change was to also inform
the SMs on what they would go through. Therefore, for a bunch of these SMs the news will not be good.

This silent approach is only putting everyone on pins and needles wondering about their future. Not right and not ethical. Add that to the rumors (some in here) and everything gets blown out of whack! Wait for SM's to be told by MVP's what is happening and then everyone will know the exact details.

I am an STL in a Walgreens store in CT and I'm on the edge of my seat right now. I'm living by myself 5 hours from home. Just bought a new car 2 days ago. I'm so scared to lose my job :/

I've been with this company for 5 yrs and unfortunately I've neveR seen a good side of walgreens besides the benifits. This year someone finally "promoted"me. Even though for 2 yrs I've been doing sims job at photo tech pay! Now I'm being taken advantage of as STL/sims w.e u want to call it. For one as STL , we have managers responsiblity so why is it we do not get the same or a little less then they do?! Now this talk about losing STL and asst managers is BS because my store mgr just told me to apply for asst. So basiclly your running game on me? Because I'll never get promoted to asst if there isn't the position and I don't have the expience to be EXA! Furious!!!

you're the last one who's going to lose their job. You're Wagner's and Wasson's "wet dream".
