well, yesterday was the day I decided to go out and look for the Blue blouse, I ask my daughter to come along. We went to 4 stores and NO blue. She said, "Mom, you won't find that color, I would never wear or even buy that color" I asked her why, her replay was...."because it looks like a uniform!!".....also the good thing about uniforms is that the material wipes clean, does not attract dirt and no ironing needed. The males will have no problem, plenty of blue out there for them....Now what??

It is a bit more difficult for women to order on line. Most men can order with no problem. Women vary so much in build...We need to try it on, especially blouses, sweaters not so much a problem...I still have the faith in Wag. they are not stupid...someone in Corp.has the answer, they HAVE TO know this...I can not stress about a uniform. I will just do what I can do....

I found several nice shirts at Express, and another girl at work found a beautiful blouse at Wal-Mart for only $9.

My boss said the LandsEnd website wouldn't be readly for Walgreens orders until later this month. They seem to keep delaying it.

I cant wait to get the new uniforms.. Land's End shirts are great. I just dont see why we have to pay for them now. Let the new employees pay because who knows how long they will last. But for the long term employees Walgreens should at least pay for 2 shirts. After that ya we can pay. But you know we are staying and that we are making it our life. That is what we all count on for our bills and our homes and food on our table. But the new employees dont really care, all they want is to hang and make friends. And we know that most is using it as a stepping stone and or they will get canned anyway. So Walgreens dont be so cheap. Give us long term employees at least 2 shirts from your pockets.

I work for ADAR Medical Uniforms. Our scrubs go up to 5X. You can purchase the navy sets at www.target.com , or www.pulseuniform.com for a great price.

Gave the new Lands' End uniform shirt a test-wear last night (manager button-down, short sleeve style). VERY dark blue, like the darkest blue you've seen a cop wear. Almost black. Very sharp-looking, got several compliments on it. For guys, it'll make a lot of ties look better on the dark background (plus, it'll make you look slimmer, guy or girl!) The collars are button-down, which is nice since we do have to wear ties. There is less extra material around the girth of the shirt, so it's not always ballooning out of your pants making you look untucked and unkempt (which, given how much we move around in this job, always happened with the other shirts). The nametag stays horizontal, unlike with some other shirts I tried out, but there is no sewn-in spot for the tag like the other shirts had. The shirts smelled funny when I opened them, very strong (prob. all the dye they used - LOL), and even after washing you could still smell it. After wearing it, I either got used to it or the smell went away (no one was avoiding me, so I imagine the smell vanished). Shirts come out of the dryer fairly unwrinkled, but be careful, they will turn anything white that you wash with them a light blue (prob. just on the first wash). They are 65% polyester, which, for me, affected wearing comfort a little. I felt a little hotter wearing the shirt as the material doesn't breathe as well as the old shirts. This was especially noticeable in the collar where it contacted my neck. Of course, it was very hot yesterday. In spite of this complaint, and the fact that it has no Walgreen logo (I suppose they were trying to keep the cost down), I would recommend the shirts, they are very nice-looking. Took about 10 days to arrive after ordering. Go to the Order tab on StoreNet. And no, I'm not getting a commission! Just thought some of you might like to know what they're like. For the price (and payroll deduction ability), it's a pretty good deal .

I ordered my uniform from land's end as well, taking 9 days to receive. Though I like the appearance, the uniforms do not come in my size, as I discovered after ordering the closest size that was offered, which will not work for me. I emailed the Business Outfitters portion of the Land's End website about this and to inquire whether more sizes will be available in the future, however five days later they have yet to respond. Not holding out much hope there.
