WRONG. MGTs can also become ASM or ASMT. Not just current EXA's. I'm also hearing that a DM can decide if he wants 1 or 2 ASMTs per community. The community leader will select the ASMTs in their community. So I hope you guys have a good relationship with your CL.

I think everyone needs to stop fliping out over this. 5 years ago the company made some major changes and they werent that bad. It wont be bad this time. Remember walgreens values the employess.
So just sit back and wait till March 12th to find out whats going on. everone will know then.

Sorry! you are correct. A current mgt can become ASM or ASMT. This has very a small possibility and nonetheless it boils down to how much ass you have kissed. Work skills and retail knowledge will help, but ass kissing is going to be huuge.

Its not a small possibility in my district. We have 8 stores without an EXA and we are also short on MGTs. So actually in my district, if you are a good MGT, you have a good shot.

Used to work overnights at a CL store, just heard from one of the cashiers there that its going non-24 hrs. Guess even CL's are not immune to 24 hr store closings

Our CL squealed last week. Starting pay in our district for TL will be $12 an hour. Our CL store is to act as a "model," so ours will be the first to feel the transition.

The changes will take place, but it will be different in some districts/markets. My district has 1-2 stores with 2 exa's and we also have 3 stores without the current stl (these positions are currently occupied by mgts)

Yes, that may be the minimum but what's most important is what the maximum will be (i.e. the rate that a former MGT with a good number of years of experience). Most service clerks and department heads, when they see what a member of management goes through, usually says "they couldn't pay be enough". Of course they're being a bit dramatic but I doubt if you'll find too many volunteers at $12. One thing that has crossed my mind is that if they decide to eliminate Head Photo Specialist positions and Senior Beauty Advisor positions you may find some volunteers with them. With them it would be either go down to service clerk pay or actually go up in pay a bit as a TL.

It boils down to this if you are a current Mgt you will be finger fucked by Walgreens. They are trying to make things sound positive but everyone sees thru the bullshit. Saving money is the companys bottom line. Get your KY ready. It will hurt a lot of employees that are codetd as mgt.

My understanding is that a store will have more than one key holder/TL/STL working on a given shift. With more than one member on a shift holding keys, this means that a TL will run a department for a shift (cos,photo). This scenario does not make much sense because the store would be paying a higher wage to a TL to run photo/cos.

goes back to this, save money equals eliminate districts, have 1 for every 2 that were around. cl's will run the show in the future so eliminate districts now, and save 4 salaries and bonus/cars/etc of 500k a year.

If you make the lab a "dry lab" and do away with the cosm counter you get rid of BAs and Photo clerks.
