Shift lead pay starts at 11.00 and tops out at 14.00 , graveyard pays .50 more an hour, but only from 11 pm to 6 am so its just regular pay for 3 hours of a 10 hour shift.

What if someone who is a photo tech making over $11/hour were to apply for SFL? I am a little unclear on that. If the starting pay for SFL is $11/hour nobody making more would certainly apply for a pay cut, nor can I see anyone applying for the same rate or a puny 50 cent raise or something. At least a dollar if not more and preferably more seems better but this company is going so cheap so who knows.

I do think its odd that the DMs can hire anyone they want; family, friends, no experience, and totally unqualified persons when theres willing, able, and experienced people already around but all mgts turn their noses up becuz tey want their own people.

You would get a 3% raise. The only reasons to move up would be a guaranteed 40 hours or to ultimate move into asmt.

However, with some managers like mine, there is NO "guarantee" of 40hrs.

No one will make over 14 an hour for sfl position , all demoted mgrs will be cut to max, if a sc makes more then 14 an hour and is offered a promotion? Their pay will be cut, so I don't know why anyone would do take the offer.

Wagner kinda addressed pay issues in his blog a few weeks ago. The blog was titled "Underperformers". Someone raised the question about maximum pay and pay caps. Something like, why would employees come in and do more work when they would not be getting more pay if the employee is at over the maximum pay at their position. Wagner's response was that Walgreens has a low percentage of employees at or over the maximum. It is our (Walgreens) hope that any employee making over the maximum pay will want a promotion. He also said anyone making over the maximum should be getting 4-5 on their reviews.

. What a comedian Wagner is 4 or 5s. Most of the great employees rarely get a 4 or 5 they get between 3.5 to 3.9. So sad what a piece of human garbage

I have known managers who purposely give scores high enough to keep you around, but JUST low enough to keep you from getting promoted. Even happened to an old store manager in my district. He was going for district manager, would have been an AWESOME DM, and was given a review about a point or two less than that required for DM, just so narrowly missing it. He quit right after.
