Just to let everyone know your new pay, when all of you now MGT's take the SFL position, will be net $810-$830 depending if you do work exactly 40 hrs a week. These are the true hard facts!!! My pay is higher because I chose 3rd shift. It has been a hard adjustment mentally!!! And an adjustment on how i spend my money!!! But honestly it has been mainly mentally! When the time comes for the rest of you will understand what I mean when I say mentally!

Believe me, it's more than just "mental". I'm an SFL myself and, financially, I'm just OK as long as I don't have to undergo a major financial change like medical bills in the thousands (thanks to horrid medical insurance) or I have to buy a decent used vehicle (right now my truck is paid for and has been for a good number of years). With my "austerity measures" I'm able to put $200 aside per month in savings for a rainy day.

I'm at $15.00 an hour for seven 10 hour overnight shifts then $14.50 an hour for my 10 hour regular shift.

It's mental! I chose the paycut or find employment elsewhere! All of this has been playing with me emotionally! The way I do my job now, the way I look at coworkers, the way i feel driving into work. Trust me I would rather be on 3rd shift then regular shifts because the pay is better-not much-but better. So then maybe for me it's just mental.

It was confirmed by my SM that each store will have ASM-T atleast here in SF. ASMT-T pay is still pending. SFL's pay is based on years of service plus $1. Which means if you were an employee lets say since 2000, they will calculate how much you earn if you were still a clerk up to the present time. SFL are union here in SF so you will lose profit sharing membership.

I am a sfl but am getting paid 11.50 an hour, which translates into about 19K a yr take home. I am happy to have a job but it will not be something I will stay at very long. So the new salary is going to be a drain on resources because wag will need to constantly trains sfls (new ones) as there will be higher turn over. And it takes a few months for an sfl to really be good.

I left Walgreens to get a job in sales/marketing. Commission based, but I'm consistently pulling in $500 in a bad week and $2000 in a good week. There're other opportunities out there that don't require a degree!

We have had two SFLs in last six weeks. Both hired by the DM. One had no management experience, one had 15 years experience. Both started at $11/hr and told the max they could make would be $14/hr but they would have an opportunity for promotion in the future. I do not know what they were told their duties would be but both seemed shocked they had to climb ladders, work in photo and help in RX. Both were transferred, one was here four weeks, the other was here two weeks.

I have this theory that the reason they aren't telling us about the asmt pay is ultimately because they want to get the qualifiers in place. I've been with Walgreens 10 years. If i accept sfl, I will be set back some 7 years where my paycheck is concerned. If I accept promotion, I believe that the low end hourly rate for asmt will be a frog's hair above the cap for sfl. So, in the end....yes, promotion is good, but still a dramatic paycut for me and my family to go through. Not to mention that I would be accepting the second punch in the face by my employer. At what point do we stop allowing our "family" to beat us??? Our CL told us in a mgt transition meeting to go to job services and KNOW OUR RIGHTS. There is a reason he said this with out spilling the beans on whatever he may know is coming next. Never in my 10 years has anyone above me suggested that I know my rights as an employee. Granted....knowing our rights is important anyway, but I would have never dreamed that Walgreens would treat us so poorly that I would need to know these details. I am so disappointed about all of this. I have been a stellar mgt. Passed up twice for exa because my dm preferred men in that position. People who are worthless as managers. I am no brown-noser. Seems to me that the only way to get promoted is to kiss up to the ones doing the promoting. My work should speak for itself! My career with walgreens will probably end soon because I just don't think I can stay after all this disrespect. I'll be forced into a paycut no matter what I decide, but I'll take that paycut and find a job with better hours and maybe get to see my daughter more than 2 hours a day.:-)

I think it's funny how disgruntled employees always think a company is on the decline exactly at the point in time that THEY are working for the company. People really are self-centered.

It's kind of similar to Christian preachers who predict the end times are near because of natural disasters. Despite natural disasters occurring throughout all of recorded human history.

I was told by our DM that the SFL wage is determined by years of service. The starting wage is the same for everyone with an increase in pay for how many years you have worked. Past work performance and current wages are not used to determine how much the SFL will start out at. I do not know how much the increase will be per year of service but corporate set the amount on a prorated basis. I have heard through rumors the amount will be 25 cents per year of service. Our district starting wage for SFL is $11 per hour. If you have 4 years of service as an MGT, you would start at $12 per hour. All raises after this will be determined by your performance reviews.

The maximum amount any SFL can make is $14 per hour with no regard to years of service.

I can tell you every mgt in our district that has stepped down so far is at the max rate.Years as an MGT had nothing to do with it.

same here, dm said every mgt will be cut to $14 and that's the end of it. no years of service considered. "they're all going to $14, you better tell them now" he said. this was several months ago

No reason for all this brouhaha over changes from Project Edison or Rewire or Field Transformation unless the company was going to save money on wages, on benefits, or on both.

Not every MGt will take a pay cut. Some states that are not at will work states they will get to keep their pay. Also the range if I remember right is 14 to 15.50 depending how the district is rated in FELM. Most will be 14 to 14.50.
