Had my meeting today, overall 2.7. BS I worked harder and better than last year when I had a 3.7. Oh well.

As you have your meetings, post your overall score and position.

2.7 is the minimum score to be "achieving expectations." My guess is that your store manager and/or DM doesn't think that you are qualified enough to be an ASM-T.

FIGHT any review you get with the company.. DO NOT SIGN IT and appeal it if you don't agree... Tell your store manager you think you are better htan a 2.7 and that you want to appeal.

When it comes time to unemployment beneifts, you want it to seem like you were a good employee but had trouble with MGT. NEVER admit doing ANYTHING WRONG. DENY DENY DENY.

I got a 3.7.

It was enough to buy me another year of hope at Walgreens thinking ASM-T is a possibility. If I scored below 3, the job search would have really intensified.

Expecting quite the exodus of MGTs over the next few months after reviews put the writing on the wall for those who aren't being considered for ASM-T.

What it the process to appeal your score? I received a 2.7 this year and 2.8 last year. Most of the downgrade was due to lack of sale of immunizations.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of the current direction of the company. But I have my reasons for continuing to push to get ASM-T and further.

Walgreens has been overcompensating it's managers for years, now they're moving in line with industry standards. Yes, it sucks, but the fact that they're moving into industry standards means I'm not going to find much better out there.

Also the further I move up, the better resume builder it'll later on. I'd much rather tell someone I busted my ass to overcome the adversity than show that I gave up as soon as things hit the fan. Not to mention the obvious fact that Store Manager would look alot better than Management Trainee.

And for me, most importantly, it gives me a [false? lol] security that my job is safe for now and I can take my job search slowly to wait for the right opportunity. I've had multiple opportunities to make a jump to another company making similar money, but in the end I see that the situation at that other company isn't any better. Again, Walgreens is moving in line with industry standards, meaning if you're going to stay in the retail world, there's not too many upgrades out there.

In other words, I'm keeping my horizons wide open. I'm not opposed to staying with Walgreens if it doesn't mean getting stuck in a SFL position, but I'm also actively searching for a better opportunity if something comes along. I'd much rather work a few more hours and add some responsibilities than see my pay get cut.

If you got out and are happy, all the power to you. I'm jealous. But I'm also not going to short-time the company because I'm pissed at a few idiots at the top. I'd just be burying myself in case I can't find something better between now and next August.

This is so true. Most employees are bashing walgreens right now but they dont realise that the grass isnt always greener on the other side. If you get a low score then they are trying to tell you something. What do you think they are saying to you?

Think what you will... The grass is way greener on the other side. No more crazy scheduling. Mornings nights weekends holidays. No more 6-10+ day in a row just to have a weekend off. I can actually make plans now for Xmas. But hey if thats the schedule you like who am I to say you deserve better.
