Only a few more weeks until the deadline for mgts in my district to apply for asmt. Many have stated that the pay stays the same if you go to asmt. Is this true in every district? What about in Indiana? Also, anyone know how many hours they are expecting the asmt to work? I can't get any straight answers from my SM. Let's say I do get an asmt position...if I change my mind in a few months that I don't want to do this cuz they have me working all over the place, can I elect to step down? What will the pay be then? Maybe I just take the asmt position to maintain my pay and then jump ship?

The pay stays the same going from mgt to asmt. Most likely be 40 hours since you are not salary and overtime is the enemy. If you step down to sfl then you will get the cap pay ( most likely 14) with no raises until cost of living increases

Mgt in Arizona. Program started with 6 storesin Phoenix. Moving forward with it because it worked out so great. " there was no negative feedback " The thing is all mgts are reapplying for their jobs. Application being in January 2013. Interviews in March 2013. By June 2013 the mgt position will be no longer, Being selected will be based on your last yearly evaluation. Heard there's only 10 spots per community. Im sure a lot of mgts will have no choice but demote themselves. The new shift lead position in this market starts at 11 dollars and max pay is 14 dollars. You have the same responsibilites as a mgt.
Why haven't questions for the asmt interview been put on here if az already knows

ASM pay:

Zone A $35,000-$45,000

Zone B $38,000-$50,000

Zone C $42,000-$55,000

Zone D $47,000-$60,000

This was on Compass on Thursday. It talked about how and when the ASM transition would occur. Store managers are supposed to go over this with their EXAs by March 15th. It also tells you which cities fall into which zone. Zone D is mostly Cali and a couple of New York cities. Bigger cities such as Chicago, Vegas, Houston fall into Zone C. The Zone B category has the most cities in it and Zone D looks like places where the cost of living is lower.

Oops, I mean Zone A is where the cost of living is lower, not Zone D.

I saw those figures too. Like a punch in the stomach knowing I'm capped now since Ive been around for a while. Thinking a lot of EXAs are effectively capped now. And Im guessing their efforts will be too

Wondering if this will be a punch to my stomach too since I already make the bottom pay as an MGT for my Zone and I'm hoping to move up still....

Also pretty sad that the bottom pay for ASM isn't even what MGTs were making when we still had overtime as a guarantee back in the day. The bottom on all of these should be 40K or more.

2500 yearly if you meet goals

$2500 is the target bonus, which you're not guaranteed to get if you don't hit your target goals. Not like before where you were guaranteed to get at least $3600. But if you hit above your goals you could get above $2500 as well.

Asmt pay will not be told until they have their asmts on the hook. If stated now, a lot would get jobs elsewhere

SM's were told that new asmt pay will be $18.00 starting pay. I make 22.50, so big cut for me! Won't stick around for it, They can suck it!

That can't be right. That would 37,440. I could be wrong but thats to close to what they are saying asm pay is. And if it was you wouldn't get a pay cut. It's a lateral move. You're pay would stay the same.

Your pay will stay the same if your making 18.00 or increased if your making less, but most longterm mgt's that make it to asmt will get a cut in pay. They do not want us to know this before we jump through the hoops for asmt. I made 45,000 last year as an mgt and worked hard for every cent of it. But I am done. This company is taking a nose dive and I won't be part of it.
