Walgreens doesn't work anyone for free, and your right they are an employer that's what there in business for if you can't do the job what do they need you for.

I've been with Walgreens 23+ years and went from cashier to store mgr. With alot of hard work and putting in my time, I've never felt discriminated against, I had high volume stores and low volume, good neighborhoods and bad, but I've never been the type to wait for something to be handed to me, hard work pays off, and as far as overtime, I think that what salary is, so quit whining about how Walgreens cheats people, no different then trying to sue for a little extra cash and try working for it.

Apparently you aren't doing such a great job for an stl because my stl does her job and always 100% compliance in everything and helps in every other area and my stock room is probably cleaner than your house.

Document EVERYTHING! My husband was hurt at work, went to doc, had a slip to be off work from Wags, and when he brought the slip in was terminated on the spot. Needless to say, we've been fighting for two years with a lawyer....no comp payment, no medical, no unemployment benefits. And now the manager has told me I'm not longer allowed to shop in the store because I use coupons??!!! WTH!

I know im expected to do the duties of two people every shift.. If I can't get something done I get yelled at.. Plus on top of the two job duties the shift manager will give me all the work the EXA gave her.. Im beginning to hate walgreens

I think a lot of us are feeling over whelmed these days I know I am. My manager maybe in the 3yrs I have been in the store complimented me 3 times. But I wonder do they feel unappreciated like we do and maybe their frustrations comes out on us without meaning to.

I am a former asst. mgt. I was fired back in Feburary 2009. I was the only female assistant in an all male store. They fired me because of coupons, but 2 of the other mgt. did the same thing and they did not get fired. If I had said anything they would ignore what I had to say and still fired me. I had one manager at another store tell me he was going to spank me and then asked if I know pita meant and I said no. He tell me it means you are a pain in the ass. If I reported this they would have not done anything at all because I am female and he was a male manager. They only stick up for the store manager and one no else.

I am also a female manager that is being picked on. Would you consider giving me a way to contact you? I am curious if you called and complained to employee relations and if so what became of it? If you feel uncomfortable putting an email address down, please reply on this forum.
