it's called a free market. EVERYONE should investigate rates of all health care services before commiting to one company. The information is availible to us all. People who choose to stay ignorant re the ones that get ripped off. NO one has the right to expect free to close to free services. It's a luxury

CVS will be the number one drugstore over
Walgreens because Walgreens have lawsuits
pending on Racial Discrimination.

Walgreens is ripping people off with their Pharmacy Benefits program...they underpay their competitors (below acquisition) then overcharge the governement & seniors and keep the profits for doing absolutely nothing!
I wonder if they pay themselves more for prescriptions filled at their own stores

Americans need to get involved since this practice is shaping this country and healthcare- if suing helps then by all means sue before the only pharmacy left here is walgreens!

Don't you think Walgreen's would put stores in high traffic areas instead of targeting poor people. What's the opportunity cost of targeting someone with no money vs someone with money? MONEY!!! dumb ass....

Corey Taylor and Courtney Piggee v. Walgreen Co. Pulaski County, Arkansas, Circuit Court Case No. 2005-10779.
A Little Rock Walgreens was robbed. A Walgreen Pharmacy Tech thought she knew the robber from having seen him come in the store before. They had a videotape but no one in the store looked at the tape, neither did the police. The pharmacy tech went into the pharmacy records of the girlfriend of the person she thought was the robber (Invasion of Privacy) and fingered her boyfriend, who was charged with the robbery. Later they found out that the boyfriend was not the person on the tape but they failed to tell the police, so the charges remained active. On the day of the criminal jury trial the pharmacy tech did not come to court, for obvious reasons and the charges against the boyfriend were dropped. He sued for Malicious Prosecution, etc., his girlfriend sued for Invasion of Privacy, Etc. Jury Trial is pending.

Seems like there are alot of knuckleheads in this forum. Trying to sue Walgreens to get rich is the lamest excuse for people who don't want real jobs. Start spending your time looking at what you can improve in this world, not what you can bring down. If you have a true suit then handle your business, if your mad because you might have had a bad experience then thats no reason to sue, just go to another pharmacy and shut your mouth

Suing Walgreens for trying to run a profitable business is absurd.

Walgreens is liable for actions of their employees, but actions of their employees in isolated cases does not denote that Walgreens itself is unjust.

Probably 80-85% of Walgreens Pharmacy customers are insurance customers who never feel the pangs of high prescription costs. The other 15% should either get insurance or get on a federally funded prescription program instead of bitching about an organization making profits.

Walgreens stores are strategically placed in high profile locations. This means they try to find the highest traffic areas (among other variables) to locate. Then, they target specific populations only by offering products, other than pharmacy, tailored to area demographic results. If the area has a high population of hispanics, they may offer a larger section of spanish greeting cards or food.

Can someone please explain to me how good business sense means that they should be sued?

If you want to be pissed off at someone for feeling the effects of price gauging on prescriptions, point the finger at walmart, who just screwed everyone.

If they didn't put those stores in low income areas then those people wouldn't be even able to get their scrips. So you should thank Walgreens for being there because no one else will!

Poor people get their money from the government on a benifits card for food. They have no car and no means to travel anywhere else to do there shopping, so actully these are the best locations!
