Anyone on this currently and actually understand how it works. Our CL and DM still are not able to explain it.

I don't know specifics, but there is a link on storenet that you can view at work if you're that interested. Type either "FELM" or "Front end labor model" (I can't remember which) in the search box and it will come up as the first result found.

I think it involves a store's budget hours constantly being adjusted up and down based on certain variables. Including sales and store layout.

I know the specifics as of my last day.

1. You get a set base hours based on volume. If you are a 24 hour store you get the extra budget hours.
2. Next part is projects/promotions. Every reset/revision is assigned a PERT estimate those hours are added. Plus any corporate programs that require man hours.

Pretty much it in a nutshell . These hours can vary in 4 week blocks. At least thathatt waswas the plan as I was leaving.

You may work four hrs and go home, you may get 8 hours one week and you will not have a set schedule. It will be based on peak hours. The computer will set your schedule. Not many who depends on this to pay their bills will be able to stay with Walgreens. I think they are doing this to eliminate insurance. Can you pay your bills not knowing how many hours you will work? Folks we had our meeting last week and this is a fact. I felt bad for people who depend of this for a job. How can you buy a house or car not knowing what hours you will work or if you will even get any hours. What about the ones who won't be able to find childcare because of this. When you have your meeting be prepared for the worst. Senior beauty advisors and Head photo no longer exsist there is a new job title and you will be working in both departments. You must be flexiable to survive. I think we will loose a lot of good hands. I feel very sad because I have give up time with my family, and for what, to be demoted. I felt it was almost a threat you either keep up sales or you won't get hours. Read what it says about this. Go on line listen to what it says about dealing with emotional employees.

FELM = a front cashier and your pick between a BA or Photo Tech on most days.

Good luck getting that Cosmetics Wall Reset done with no hours 'donated' towards it.

Our latest budget didn't include anything that accounted for Resets.

That was at full implementation of FELM I think it was suppose to be fully out by June of 2013. Though no idea what had changed in the last 2 months.

FELM or is it FLEM? Really whoever comes up with these names and codes.
Sounds like the same old at the old wags, more people losing hours and insurance.
Certainly not a career place.
