Store Manager Issue

Our store is having a huge issue with our store manager. He has been belligerent, retaliatory, and an overall horrible person to work for. He comes in around 10am when he works day shift and leaves around 2pm at least 3 of the 5 days he works per week. When he works his night, he comes in between 2 and 3pm and leaves around 6 or 7pm. Those few hours he is there he just tells all of the store leadership how horrible they are and then goes and sits in the office the rest of the time he is there. He very rarely works his Saturdays and on numerous occasions has given his authenticator info to me (a SFL) to do payroll. So far this year he has called out at least 5 times. We have approached him about his time and call outs and he FORCEFULLY told us it is none of our business and our DM knows fully well when he is there and not there. He treats everyone like dirt including the MGT and RXM. A few months ago we approached the only other high ranking person in the store (RXM) and told him about our issues. He presented to LP what we told him, mainly the never being there part, and no one even investigated it.

The RXM actually tried to have a conversation with him about our concerns and all that did was direct his attention to the RXM. Our RXM is awesome. The Rx department does about 80% of the stores business and has about 75 hours of tech help a week. He comes in every day at 7:30am when he is scheduled at 8 and stays late occasionally if necessary. Every time the RXM might leave 30 min or an hour early to make up the time he is there extra when it is slow, the SM pulls him into the office and tells him that he must ask him before he can leave and that it is called stealing time. Under no circumstances is he to change his schedule unless he approves. He will do this in front of us (SFLs/MGTs). I know this man is working at least 2 times the amount the SM is! I feel bad for the guy, it has to be embarrassing for him to have to put up with this nonesense. So now, the RXM refuses to get involved anymore because he just completely wants to ignore this guy.

So what can we do? We lost our only ally as the RXM just refuses to get involved anymore. Every day is a struggle and it makes a majority of the staff feel ill just even walking into the place. The good part is that half the time the SM isn't even there. But when he is, it is a nightmare and no one knows what to do anymore. The guy clearly acts as if he is king of the store. I mean come on. I respect the position, but seriously he is a WALGREENS store manager. I would call that 800 number but I have read that they know who reports things and since they didn't do anything before, I'm afraid to say anything and have this man retaliate against me. Any suggestions?

CALL THE 800 NUMBER. Any calls made to the LP hotline must be investigated. Call from a friends phone and don't give them any personal info. There's no way they can find out for sure who called. From they sound of it, he should expect everyone in that store to call. Just use these words "hostile work environment, harrassment, and stealing time" when describing his actions. They will come in and interview the staff and if everyone who's interviewed sings the same song the very least they'll do is transfer the SM. If he does it at another store he will eventually get fired.

BTW, you having his Authenticator password can get him fired. You have access to SM only info which is a huge LP issue. But don't mention that when you call. Tell it to LP when you interview.

it won't matter if they find out it was you once your sm is fired, trust me I gave seen SMS just like this get fired, keep complaint.
