Aren't all stores on Kronos now? If so it states that the employee is to validate their hours daily and/or weekly to insure proper times and if any errors, correction will be on next paycheck.

Totally agree with you. I go on Kronos at least twice a week to check my timecard. If I find an error I get it fixed right away. My store has had issues with the timeclock freezing up plus I've been called in early a few times so it won't take my punch. Those times I make sure in Kronos that I timestamp.

This is why you need to approve your time sheets it at least verify it at the end of or near the end of a pay period, which you now can, at the time clock.

does time stamp allow you to clock in at anytime? If I go in early it will show that I punched? Or does it give the same message as the timeclock?

That's only if managers are communicating these things. At my store nobody had any idea checking punches and timecards with storenet/kronos was possible until one of the SFLs found out from her husband, who is an MGT at another store. If for any reason at all a punch is missed we do have a missed punch log to write it in, then the manager or EXA will enter it manually.

Also what do you mean when you say you time stamp? I know it is possible to review punches but can we (non management) also add in our own missed punches?

At my store if your coming in early or the time clock is not working you can go into Kronos and then go to time stamp and click on enter punch (or whatever it says) to punch in.

You can not go in and edit your missed punches. That would cause all kinds of problems with employees changing their own punches. You can go in and punch in if you forgot to do it on the time clock but you can't change anything that is already there.

What about sick time! Can they not give you your sick time if it isnt on your check? I think I'm getting ready to get fired because I called in sick and I think he the SM is going to fire me! I'm wondering if my sick day is going to be on my check. If it isnt- who to I talk to to get it besides the SM if he is uncooperative?

My SM has never mentioned anything about checking a time card for errors. I never even knew that was an option. I know I can clock in with Kronos is the time clock is down though. My SM doesn't follow any rules unless the DM or CL is in town.

Gee that would require some personal responsibilty wouldn't it & we can't have that! I know I always called my DM to ask if he had MY payroll correct. Give me a freaking break!

I was looking at my pay stub and my my schedule and noticed I was missing nearly 7 hours on my check. When I mentioned it to my manager she recognized that I was missing the hours and told me she would have to add them to my next check. However I was told by a former Assistant that she technically should pay me out of the safe for my missing hours. Seven hours doesn't add up to much, but its money that I was expecting to have.
Does the store manager have to pay me out or do I have to wait?
Your store manager can pay you, he or she will have to pay from a till and go to the rate and status field in the office, to determine your pay, also the deductions.

My store has a missed punch log. If any employee misses a punch, they know that they are required to fill out a form and put it in my mailbox. To my amazement, it works pretty damn well. That being said, there are exceptions to this.

If an employee messes up a punch and does not fill out the log or make any effort to tell me about it...there is a good chance that I will tell them they can get retro pay on their next check. That being said, if they come to me politely and respectfully about the situation and admit/apologize for their mistake, I will offer them a cash payout or retro pay. Especially if I know the employee's financial situation.

Kronos is a pain guys. Make sure you punch correctly.

In most cases, It's their fault for not reviewing the time cards before submitting payroll. Mistakes happen but it should be corrected right away.
Its like nearly impossible to catch mistakes in Kronos unless your entire staff works the same hours each week.

If you dont have missed punch logs in your store, get them. You will get paid on time.
