for anyone wondering, they're changing how you earn vacation hours every year.

starting in 2014, you will only be able to take vacation that you either have banked or have earned for that year. You will earn your vacation during the year (1/12 of your vacation available after 1 month, and so on and so on.)

You will be able to bring all your banked sick days up to 240 hours into 2014, that's why they are willing to let those that use all their sick time every year an opportunity to save some into 2014.. It's shameful your store manager is not communicating this to the employees.. Further, the most you will be able to bank in PTo is 680 hours..

Ive heard frm reliable source that is not the case, you cannot bring banked sick days into 2014, everyone starts the same with sick days.

My understanding is the sick days already in your bank when the conversion happens will only be available to use if you need to go out on disability. You won't be able to use them as an additional source of regular sick/time off.

.09 vacation hours/hour worked for 5 year employees.
.07 vacation hours/hour worked for employees below 5 years.

A 5 year employee would have enough PTO for a full week of vacation around the 60 day mark.

These may or may not be the actual numbers. These numbers are based on the current amount of vacation, special and sick days we currently receive.

It's ridiculous that EVERYTHING is an effing secret with this company...especially when it comes to details that we as employees have more than a right to know! We should not be on here having to "guess" how much more work we have put in before we earn the right to be out of a wag store for longer than 48 hours...sorry I'm venting...it's just so damn sad!
