Does anyone know what the per hour exchange will be. Ex; 1 hr worked equals. 0.14 hrs of pto. Does anyone know somebody who's job does it this way and what the formula rate they use.

The best people to ask are any employees from Washington state, since this stats fire then in 2013. Any one care to answer?

It will be based on your annual allotment and how many sick days the company decides to convert into PTO. If everything were to stay the same (converting 6 sick, 1 personal), it would mean the following if based on a scale of hours earned per hour worked:

1 year (12 days)= 0.046 hr/hr
2 years (17 days)= 0.065 hr/hr
5 years (22 days)= 0.085 hr/hr
15 years (27 days)= 0.104 hr/hr
25 years (32 days)= 0.123 hr/hr

Employee relations themselves said that the rumor going around is the 6 sick days will be converted to 3 PTO days and we will be given an additional personal day along with the one we currently get. So for me, I get 3 weeks vacation now and 6 sick days. When this rolls our I will have 20 total PTO days. My original 15 plus 3 sick and 2 personal. This came directly from those in home payroll/employee relation department. Works GREAT for me! Used 2 sick days in 10 years.

When do you reach you max pto time. Mid yr? Maybe?. Or do you have to work all the way to 12/31. To get all of your pto

So starting 2014 you would getautomatically 20 days worth of pto? Then why do people on here say to banka week going into 2014?

This is what I have heard also. Knock on wood, I have never called in sick in five years, so I am excited also.

Because they're changing it so you can ONLY USE PTO you've already earned. You earn your PTO throughout the year now and can only use what you've accumulated so far that year.

No. Starting in 2014 you will have ZERO PTO days. You will have to "earn" those days. Divide your total amount of PTO days you're supposed to get by 12 and that will be how many days you get per month. You are advised to bank vacation days in 2013 so you can have days to use in the early parts of 2014 until you start to accumulate enough days to take off.

. I would think that you would meet you total days off by august. If it was the way your saying people would never be able to take time off until may and wag doesn't want everybody taking time off at the same time. I heard compNies normally do 1hr worked equaling about. 0.14 hrs of pto

That is why the company is allowing everyone to bank vacation days no matter how long you've been with the company. Bank a week next year and you will have that to take the early part of 2014 while you accumulate new days.
