Why does he have to worry about hiding his locale for? Unless he has douchebag family members that can't keep family business off the internet? Hmmmmm? Gossip is just that....gossip and last i checked it was a free country still, well i guess we will see who is president next. If people are using this forum to hurt others or their family members then shame on you and whoever does it.

I have a question I was hoping somebody could help me with: I am an STL. I was told that if I get the SFL position, I will get a $1 raise so that I will be making $11.50 an hour. Then I heard (I wasn't told by my SM, this is just something multiple people have said to me) that assistants who take SFL will get a pay cut to the SFL max.

So, say I stay in my current store as SFL, and my MGT also becomes an SFL in my store. They're going to be making more money than me even though we're doing the same job?

pretty much. See they already are getting paid a lot more than u do as an MGT doing almost the same job. Once they take the SFL position, they will get max pay for SFL that is around 14-14.50.

Help! I am a bit confused. i am a daytime mgt, and my SM offered me to go overnights as a shift lead. I thought that would be a step down and the paycut would take effect immediately. Now, if I stay on as day mgt, when does the paycut take effect? I have all ready been told that my pay will go from 19.00 to 14.50 an hour. But, wouldn't that take effect next year?

This is so not right...$11.50 an hour is not enough for SFL, especially since they will be closing more than STL. I mean, I close 2 - 4 times a week and I do not get paid enough at $10.50. A measly dollar more an hour will not make it better!

No offense to any STLs, but STLs need to interview for SFL spot. Don't you think current MGTs would have priority for the SFL spot?

And the light bulbs start coming on! I bet that wasn't supposed to happen so quickly. At least not until after they became SFL's. So now both sides of the SFL pay scale are taking time to let what this really means sink in. No that $1 an hour wont make it worth your time and NO that $4.50 pay cut wont make it worth your time. Why do you guys think the pressure is on to get your decisions so quickly? Not so that the overnight shift has someone to be in charge; they already have that. It's so that you don't have time to get past the shock and actually think out the full extent of exactly what this position is or isn't going to be.

An STL needs an evaluation score of 3 even to be interviewed for the SFL spot. I agree. An MGT should have priority as long as they had/have at least a 2.5 evaluation. Anything below that I'll take the STL with a 3.

You're singing the MGT's song. It's bad enough that they'll make the MGT do the job at $14/hr but it's absolutely criminal to have an STL do in for $11.50/hr.

I think new people coming in and being trained for the new position have priority. That way they will all be paid on the low side and there wont be any of "the way it used to be" conversations going around.

Who does the interview for this STL-SFL position?

Will there even be one? MGT's can have it if they want it and STL's can only have it if they meet the requirements. So between those two I would think all it takes for the "interview" is to say yes. What other questions could they ask?

What does "offered" you to go mean exactly?
Don't quote me but I believe if you go to nights and take the SFL position your pay drops in 90 days. If you stay on days there seems to be a big grey area as to exactly when your pay would change with up to 1 year being mentioned in other posts. Hopefully one of the others can be a little more enlightening to your questions. The word offered bothers me for some reason.

I have 1 yr emploees that make 5 less an hour than I do.....when min wage was raised reg emoloyees got no compensation. Sr tec. With 1o yrs make 2 dollars an hour more than me and I spend hours a day with them because of the budget cuts, so quit your damn whinning and do your job or find another one!
