Are managers or any employees allowed to leave their little kids unattended in the office or break room for hours. We have a manager that leaves his son in the break room for hours during holiday breaks or when he is too sick to go to school . No other employee at the store does this. What is the Walgreens policy on this.

Too sick for school but ok to come to Walgreens and spread germs around? I'd have issues with this!

The kid is working on stuff in the office so why complain? He gets to count the drawers, heat up people's microwave White Castles, make coffee, empty break room and office garbages, put together displayers for cos, and signs for Fed Ex and UPS.
Of course he is playing games on his smartphone while doing beer and wine PPLs for all the employees.

Hate when people bring their sick kids to work. Happens at corporate too. Not sure what the company-wide policy is on this though, if there is one.

As long as the employee doesn't call out and double the workload for someone else who cares if the kid sits in a room that stays mostly empty anyway.

Do We Have Corporate Chat here also? Are they listening and getting a few tips on how to not crash this company? Give us a little room to do our thing. Run the stores with pride not shame .

Day Care is tough to juggle, cant take them sick . As long as the kids are safe and just once in a while seems ok to me. Please Do not let the kid sit bored to death day after day. Thats not right.

Kids need to be watched close , many Walgreens Customers are too dangerous for us to be exposed to if the truth was known. Drug Dealers, Drunks , lots of Anger Problems , Robbers , Shop Lifters and More .

someone else suggested calling his ex wife to let her know what was going on so that he might lose custody. Other option is letting the insurer of the leased building know that unsupervised children of employee were in the store. Liability issue .That might put the kabash on it.

As a parent sometimes things do happen. Person in question could have easily called out, but instead came to work. I have done this maybe 2x, probably kids snow day. Most people enjoyed the harmless company- others will just have to get over it.

Haha Walgreens doesn't pay enough to get decent daycare period. Poor guy Walgreens should provide this to their loyal employees but Walgreens is a cheapskate company .

Or when the mexicans come in with their litter of illegal children and let them run in all directions while they shop[lift]......oh such good times...work IS NOT for children.....period! This should not even be a question...the fact that this happens at all is ridiculous.
