I know that this post is a little irrelevant from the other posts that have to do with Walgreens, but I really want to get as many of the songs that were played on the intercom during the beginning of 2011 to the present. I think, for the most part, the songs are uniform at every store, so I'm hoping that I get many of the songs that were played in my store. Here are some songs that were played at the store that I worked at in Austin, Texas:

1. Umbrella - Marie Digby
2. All I Ever Wanted - Kelly Clarkson
3. Show Me What I'm Looking For - Carolina Liar
4. You're My Best Friend - Queen
5. 1234 - Plain White T's
6. Let the Good Times Roll - The Cars
7. Already Gone - Kelly Clarkson
8. This Town - OAR
9. Stay - Safetysuit
10. If I were you - Hoobastank
11. You Can Do Magic - America
12. I Want To Know What Love is - Foreigner
13. All the Right Moves - One Republic
14. Fall to Pieces - Avril Lavigne
15. Again and Again - Jewel

The name of the company that the playlist comes from is Muzak, I think. Any songs posted will help, thanks!

All the stores don't play the same thing, they are set according to your demographic area or what the store manager/dm wants them set at. The songs you listed are usually played in the more urban or college areas. On that note, I miss "Stay" by Safety Suit, they used to play it in my old store.

My current store beats all because we get awesome 80's music on the night shift, like Mr. Big, Reo Speedwagon, Aerosmith and such =)

We recently got Adele's "Someone Like You", which totally surprises me since it is so relevant and currently.

I close every Monday night and I love it now. Stevie Ray Vaughn is being played at 8pm along with tons of other awesome classics.

You really know the Walgreens playlist and how it works well - The store that I came from was located in an urbanized, college community.

My store plays those plus:

Christina Perri: Jar of Hearts
Adele: Someone Like You, Rolling in the Deep and I think I've heard Set Fire to the Rain
Cindi Lauper and Sara McLachlan dueting on Time After Time
Two versions of Umbrella
Gnarls Barkley: Crazy
There's a song by Justin Timberlake I was hearing for awhile, but I haven't heard it, and I don't know what it's called.

There are a lot of others; sometimes I'm amazed at the songs I hear. For sure never thought I'd hear Gnarls Barkley at Walgreens!

Every store I've been in always hit me with "Just When I Needed You Most" by randy Vanwarmer at the absolute worst possible times!! NOT the song you want to hear after a breakup/visit from your ex boyfriend outside.

lol we get that one at night sometimes. Mostly, I am pretty thankful to hear anything, other than that god awful Halloween playlist they used to start playing all the way from October 1st on. We only got it for a few days last year (thank god)

Nah, Toxic is one of the better ones (then again, i'm in my 20's lol) Obviously, you haven't been stuck in a store that got "Why Me Baby" by Keith Sweat or "Sleep Talk" (bangs head into wall just thinking of that song)

Honestly, no I have not. I'm also in my 20's. 21 to be exact, but I guess I'm not into the newer music Zeppelin, ACDC, Dio are among the greatest artists in my book.

"muskrat loooooovvvvvvvveeeeeeee! Do, do, do, do, do.....". Capt and Tenille- originally written as a joke for their tv show way back before my parents were born.

Madonna singing Evita. Some other woman that sounds like Madonna.

John Denver- maybe a couple of songs? I fall asleep after, "please come to Boston....". My bad joke, "They found the black box to the plane John Denver was flying when he flew into the side of the mountain. All they heard was his singing and snoring."

I agree...this looks like our lineup. I hate hate hate muskrat love. You know it's bad, but every time it comes on which is 3 or 4 times a shift, you find yourself singing the dang thing! They do play some good 80's stuff on evening shifts. And just recently they have added some decent music in with that line up.
