asm pay

Why is the asm/asm-t positions still such a secret? I've been questioning whether or not to stick around to see what the position has to offer. I feel like they aren't announcing it because mgts and exas aren't going to like what they hear and will all quit. It doesn't really matter to me at this point because I've got another job offer and plan to take it. I'm just curious about what I'm passing up. Not curious enough to go through an application, interview, and training process just to find out though.

. We are meant not to know. Only those who they want know what is going on. Such a shame, I have done my job, but work doesn't seem to matter,,,too bad

If you are an exa you will not lose pay. It's a lateral move. If you are an mgt that is selected for the asmt role you also will not lose pay because its a lateral move. New ASM compensation will be lower for those being promoted into the role.

Store managers need to learn to keep their mouths shut! Since the asm position was introduced, it has been presented to me like it's some big promotion. They have given me numbers as well as other information that now appears to be false. If you don't know, don't pretend that you do. All it has done is postpone my decision to quit. I guess their bullshit kept me through Christmas though. Shame on me!
Shame on Walgreens.

Short story, I was terminated in Nov.,for what I call unfair. Was put on 30 day suspension, because I was unable to show proof of my Radiology Tech. license.Said ran background check, and found my license had been revoked. I said yes I know, I gave up that profession 5 years ago, after working in it for 30t years. Didn't do my cont. education after I quit. Anyway I had been with Wags for almost 4 years, and never had a write-up and always had better then3.0 on evals. Filed for unemployment and finally got it> Unemployment office even questioned why they neede proof of that!!! So you all need to be watching your backs.

If you are an mgt the asm position is a promotion.

I don't consider added responsibility with no added benefit a promotion.

If you are an mgt getting ASM IS a promotion but it will be at the new rate which is about 2-3,000 more a year compared to the starting exa salary now which is 50k in Chicago. So you will be making on average 10-13,000 less than the exas that moved into the position. Keep in mind. You are now on salary and can Work unlimited hours.

Still a promotion. Didn't say it was a good one.

SMs were told to do this. Play up the new role as a promotion. What are the odds really? We will have same pay. Added responsibility. And be under a microscope and scrutinized. My LP Told me the SM should be in the office doing admin work and occasionally working with employees. I should be soley responsible for everything....yet not be doing the work myself and still closing half the time. Sounds resonable?

No where in this thread does it say this. EXA's are automatically moved into ASM positions. No applying for anything.

2-3000 more per year? That's it? You've got to be kidding me. 3000/52 weeks per year/40 he's per week =$1.44 per hour. Assuming you only work those 40 he's and we all know we wind up working more then that.

I was up late a few days ago and happened to catch this episode of cheers. Fits the situation to a T.

One by one, Woody, Sam and Carla go into Rebecca's office asking for a raise. All three come out of her office only with superficial new titles. In other words, Rebecca has duped them.
