1. Turn 1 mgt into 1 stl
2. Turn emerging leader to community leader.
3. Remove sims
4. Give a few years to allow for adaptation.
5. Announce new 2year plan for management restructure.
6. Change stl to shift leaders.
7. Eliminate mgts. Sub in shift leaders.
8. Change exa to asm and reduce pay.
9. Change store manager to store leader and reduce pay.
10. Change structure of who reports to who. Aka shift leaders to store leaders. Crew to asm. Store leader is responsible for pharmacy and not the pharmacy manager.(writing on the wall)
11. Store Leader is lined up behind the eight ball to abolish in 2 years once field transformation is complete.
12. Community Leader becomes multi unit manager. Asm title changes to co-manager. Store leader is gone.
13. Kronos implimented to allow CL to schedule however he needs. Employees float whenever needed.
14. Floating asm title is community assistant manager. Asm T is co-manager in training.
15. Possible to have a market scheduler for the store with Kronos....these details are not known at the moment. Will keep you all aware.
16. The well experience stores could be scrapped. Will keep you posted.

From the Field Transformation page, it shows beauty advisors and photo techncians reporting to the SM not the ASM. Yet on another page it shows only SFLs reporting to the SM and all advisors to ASM.

Does anyone else find this confusing?

Scrapping the WELL stores? Wow! I had a feeling they weren't able to bring this to a reality. This company is wasting money left and right.

My store was in line to be a well store. We were recently told that it's now on hold until further notice.

Phoenix Pilot - from Storenet Field Transformation Guide

In-store management model (ISMMT) pilot

Phase 1: Nov 2011 – early 2012 in Pheonix with 9 stores in 2 districts.

“Given the positive results it delivered, the test was expanded..."

Expanded Pilot (Phase 2?): Feb 2012 - Sep 2012? in Phoenix adding an additional 9 stores.

"This expanded pilot is expected to run through September 2012, at which time results and other qualitative findings will be carefully analyzed and used to shape the national rollout of our field transformation.”

Our Goals

"Through this pilot, we will gather important feedback about year-over-year metrics and will be able to compare test stores performance versus control stores. We will also be equipped to validate that the proposed role and structure changes won’t adversely affect overall store performance and team engagement while gaining critical insight into potential training needs, scheduling requirements, and store management practices. Lastly, through this test we will be able to refine how we facilitate change management across the entire operations team and will know what communications support will be needed to ensure that our transformation is a success."

Anyone know what the metrics look like so far? If the pilot in Pheonix is running until this September, they still must be gathering information right? That would be a whole year for the original pilot stores?

Was this pilot anything that was covered in Las Vegas last summer? Did the proposed management structure changes catch everyone by surprise? Think comments on this forum started back in January.

most states if not all require a Pharmacist-In-Charge, or a Pharmacy Manager (CA needs a Co-manager for the pharmacy), Manager of Record, and so on.

These many of these boards will hold the RXM responsible for all activities of the pharmacy. No pharmacist in their right mind accept this responsibilty with a token bump in pay.

Now if you say to have one RXM managing multiple stores, that will not fly either. Usually you can only be in charge of one pharmacy at a time with most state boards.

The other thing is this, why is the company pushing all RXM IMPACT training? Since RXM have more responsibility over their direct reports, it would indicate that the RXM will be playing more of a roll in managing in the pharmacy than before.

Now for some of my speculation. I do see the SM being phased out. Why do most CL have 5 stores to oversee? How many work days of the week are there? Hence, each store will have a ASM and RXM running each department and reporting to the CL with any issue that needs escalation.

I'm confused with this decision to halt it. WAG has been campaigning for this to be the next big boom in pharmacy. They sold it to us, to the shareholders etc. To not follow through with this would be a MAJOR embarrassment to the company, and all executive management. If this is true (which i feel it is), and WAG wasn't able to execute those promises, this company must be in more dire shape than i thought previously.

I don't think captain Prozac understands what the store leader being in charge of pharmacy means. It means when the pharmacy doesn't meet goals, the store leader gets fired and the pharmacy manager is protected from accountability. Win win.

yep, 1-7 has or is taking place. If 8-16 don't take place I would actually be surprised.
