I may have gotten a job at CVS. Should I accept it, or just keep my BA job at Wags? Is my BA position even secure through all these changes? Is anyone else leaving for sure, if so what position are you?

I would stay until you find something outside if retail...If you do not want to leave retail I would stay because retail is retail anywhere. But do know that there is a huge chance that your hours may be cut and/or job responsibilities changed in the future.

dont do it!! CVS is horrible place to work for. Rest is up to u. Ur safe, first one to go would be SVCs and only if ur hours are drastically reduced. If ur SM hasnt said until now, it means ur not affected really bad to cut any employee at the store. They had until today to inform employees who were going to be effected or laid off so ur safe. Rest is up to u. Take this advice or not. Good luck to u.

Isn't the new structure after all is said and done going to make us just like CVS? Also I have a chance to be a supervisor for CVS, not startng at the bottom again.

Supervisor as in shift supervisor? Just stay and gun for shift leader. I've worked for both companies. Walgreens is better believe it or not. When all is said and done I'm glad I chose W over CVS.

EXA is right. I have an employee at my store who used to be a manager there and says its much better here. As for getting shift supervisor is concerned, try for SFL here at walgreens. U will be in a much better place. Ultimately, its ur decision, if u want to stay in retail, stay where ur...

Yeah, I can't believe the number of WAG employees who are talking about going over to CVS. "HELLO" - we are becoming CVS but at least we're not there yet.

I will be quitting in the next 30 days. And nobody here knows it. I will no longer work for this company as it continues to abuse their employees while rewarding upper executives for making bad decisions. "There's a way" to find a better life after this place.

Cvs does.have Ot for its shift leaders. And the knowledge you have from walgeeens puts you ahead of the Cvs management. But retail is retail. Don't except a big difference.
Also applied for Cvs as a joke a while back. They had a stupid.phone interview run by a outside company. That's sad they couldnt even do ther own interviews. I answered questions the wag way with a customers first attitude. Didn't get the job lol

Why would you jump from what amounts to a Dollar General with a pharmacy (WAG) to another (CVS)?

Only problem with SFL is there are more managers and even STL's presently then there are openings for SFL, or so I have been told. Just during the day my store has 2 assistant managers, the EXA, the SM, and an STL. And let's not forget about the two overnight managers also.

how do i found out what a sfl pay, requirements, and who will interview. I have asked my store mgr and she can't seem to give me information. I just want to see if it is worth the headache. I wish they would leave the mgt position alone. I have a few mgrs that are really good at our store. I just want the big people to see what it is like to be in there position. Wasson and Wagner need a reality check. to be honest most big wigs need to eat humble pie. I am just a cashier but I see what ass mgt has to deal with and to be honest the pay is not enough.

SFLs will be starting at $12.00 an hour, managers that are being demoted to SFLs will be paid $15.00 an hour. The applicants they are looking for include, managers, STLs and SIMSC. Other positions may apply, but they will be taking managers, stls and simsc first. The pay is currently not set in stone, but according to the district meetings, that is the general consensus. Also rate and status has this information available. ASMTs will be paid more than SFLs, obviously but will be required to bounce around between the stores within their community. ASMs will be salaried and I am not sure what their rate will be.

Also, general consensus is that clerks, photo techs and BAs (who will all change to associates, etc) will be taking cuts as well. Some clerks make well over 17 bucks an hour if they have been with the company for a long time and would be making more than SFLs, which they will not let happen. This last part is not for sure, and I don't have enough information on it yet, but I believe it to be true.

Depending on the cost of living for certain areas it may be $15/hr for SFL but the cap here is without a doubt 14$/hr,$14.50 for overnight. Also, it would would be kind of dumb to take a Clerk, Tech, or BA over a current STL/SIMC or assistant for SFL. Unless, said person is worthless and its hard to be considered worthless at WAG. lol

Yes, it would be dumb to take a clerk, tech or BA over an MGT, or SIMSC/STL which is why I said they would be considered only after current MGTS, STLS/SIMSC are considered. A few of them may get in, considering how many managers will be quitting within the next year. And in California, as of last week (it may have changed) the cap on SFLs was $15.00. However, I can totally see it being 14/14.50 That is a major pay cut for some managers. All I can say is BLAH.
