Here is a list of the new pay scales.

They are based entirely on geographic zones, not store tiers.

Zone A-start 35k Max 45K
Zone B-start 40k Max 50k
Zone C-start 42k Max 55k
Zone D-start 47k Max 60K

Bonus target is $2500

I am guessing if you are already above Max,you wont take a pay cut but be frozen at your current pay. This is what they are doing with other positions so guessing it will be the same here.

This info was on the field transformation web site today. Not sure if it was supposed to be or not but printed some things off there before it is gone.

How are the zones broken down, or where do I find that info?

funny how the people on the front end busting their humps and going the extra mile to make profits get capped. any company with a great employee that stays should always be rewarded with continuous growth in salary. obviously if someone isn't doing their jobs then they should be written up and eliminated. you are not going to get people of a certain caliber to hire in if you say ok, here's the limit to salary. you will get people who take job because they need one but secretly think to themselves: hey as soon as i find something better, i am outta here. then wags is retraining again people. current company bigwigs don't care because they will be gone in a few years when sh%$#t hits the fans. they will just soak up profits from early year savings. and why don't top brass get capped? why are their bonuses always going up? i don't support wags with my rx needs anymore. i don't support wags with sales for front end stuff anymore.

Your manager should know what Zone you are in.There are only a few zone D places.I think zone B is the most common.

Ok...here's how I break this down...

1). Everyone else is getting capped,so it's reasonable that ASMs are too.

2.) All the EXAs were freaking out about taking paycuts or losing bonuses. Well, for the most part, you're not. The new incoming ASMs will, but this shouldn't really affect you unless...

3.) If you're already at the max salary because you've been an EXA for 10 years, you're either in a SUPER competitive market or you're not cut out for running your own store.(I'm not dogging anyone, but be realistic and do what's needed to get where you want to be....stop blaming biased SMs or racist DMs).

4.) Yes, ASMs will be doing the SMs job,but that the biggest complaint by EXAs. They're job right now is task-oriented.Do,Do,Do! Now you'll get to manage(hopefully).

5.) CEOs and Vice Presidents of Whatevers get paid a lot because the responsibility of the company falls on them. The SBA is responsible for 3 aisles, SMs are only responsible for a single store...DMs 30+ stores, but a CEO....8000 stores. Yes,they get paid extravagantly, but I wouldn't want their job.

As far as number 4 is concerned if they want their stores to survive (with all of those SFLs) they will also be doing a lot of "Do, Do, Do".

Honestly as an MGT who is making around $36 k right now. Being promoted to ASM for $40k plus a bonus does not sound bad. Honestly it could be a lot worse.

I'd guess MGTs who move into ASM-T will just keep their hourly rate until they get promoted to ASM. ASM-T will be basically the MGT position with more training involved, but then you'll be on the fast track to ASM.

That is considered a lateral move too. Any mgt promoted to asmt won't lose pay

In my area it amazes me how many MGTs think they have an ASM-T slot "in the bag". A bunch of them will be sorely disappointed.

It's actually pretty bad when you consider that the starting MGT pay about 4 years ago was about what the starting ASM pay will be.

Yeah there's a couple MGTs here who think that way and I don't understand what they're thinking. If you can't even crack a 3 on your review, I think that should be a sign...

Even myself, I've had a couple store managers tell me I'm in the top two, and the CL is treating me as a top MGT, yet I still have my doubts. I've been told these types of things in the past only for it to never to happen, so until it's official I'm not getting excited. Just going to keep busting my ass and trying to better myself as a manager. If it doesn't help me here, it'll help me elsewhere.

Have you read the selection criteria for the ASM-T position yet?It is on the new leap website.I forget the exact percentages but here is how the order is.

Math Test
IRR-Manager review of you.

Then the behavioral interview with CL's and or DM-This counts the most of all.

If you are a good performer and your manager thinks highly of you, dont bomb the math test or you might be screwed.

The math test accounts for a huge amount of the 'score' for being promoted.

The ASM starting rate is crappy, at least for me, especially with there being no guarantee of getting the bonus... and the fact that bonuses get taxed to hell and back.

Not to mention that before they got rid of OT, most MGTs were considered to be making $40K a year where I was at.

It makes no sense financially to take on a position that you have to work a minimum of 4 hours more a week, but likely will work way more than that. And you'll be stuck in that position for years unless there starts to be a mass exodus or a huge upswing in opening new stores.

In my area there has been eight store managers gone. Some by choice others let go. This was two different districts.
