CTI ends phone service in York

A long-distance phone carrier in the York area terminated services earlier this spring, leaving customers in a variety of situations, some hunting for a new carrier and others seeing little change.

Our service was transferred to MetTel with minor problems -- however, were corrected within 24 hours. However, we still have a credit which they assured us in March that the checks would be in the mail in a couple of weeks -- never got it! Guess now that they have filed for bankruptcy we'll never see it.

Yes, I transfered to MetTel as well. Had one issue with Verizon not properly porting my LD service and a few weeks back I lost LD for 10 days. That's been resolved and MetTel has been doing well so far.

I too have a credit that I'm not expecting to see anything paid on.
