To all those who will bitch and whine about big oil making big $$ and why shouldn't they pay the tariffs; fees, taxes, etc. Think about why the prices keep going up the next time you fill up your tank and why businesses are leaving California for other states and worse, other countries. This state and the nation seem to be anti-business with all the taxing the government imposes on these businesses (oil refinering, light and heavy industry, automotive, textile, manufacturing and every other type of business imaginable)
People wonder where all the jobs are going....look at big government first and ask them.
Big government kills business....

OK vacaJoe, I have to disagree.
If that is so true then explain why is the cost of fuel higher near the refineries and cheaper the more distant you go away from them?
Why is gas cheaper in other states with NO refineries than staes with refineries?
(sorry the BS flag needs to be waved!)

Transportation is one of the lowest cost items in the final cost of gasoline so distance from the refinery really doesn't matter.

I don't know about the location of refineries in all the other states, but I don't think there are any states with NO refineries. California is down to 13 gasoline producing refineries from a high of over 150 many years ago and also has one of the highest gasoline and diesel prices in the country.

You can put your BS flag away now.
