Verizon is treating its non-unionized employees like slaves by forcing them to leave their families and perform Emergency Assistance Work in other areas of the country. Many, if not most, have NOT, repeat NOT been trained (don't believe Verizon's press releases. Most of those were trained to perform jobs in safe call center environments). These workers are being forced to work 72 hour work weeks (12 hour per day, six days per week). What happens to a person's ability to think and remain safe if he or she works that many hours, has little or no training, is experiencing stress of family separation, and is being hounded and berated by strikers hour after hour, day after day?
