Several stores are closing with this new sale. Just wish we knew when and where. I'm keeping my chin up...if my job is gone it's nothing I did. My thoughts go out to everyone who finds themselves with a pink slip this week.

It breaks my heart to know that I'll be losing my job soon. As a young student in college, this has been my first job for many years. I don't know what's going to happen next. I know that we can find another job but its really heart breaking especially for so much of the older people. I feel really scared and very very sad. I just dont understand why this is happening but I believe that when one door closes another one will always open so I will continue to have faith in God. I know the next couple of months will be very hard because of getting laid off not only me, but others in my family. My prayers go out to everyone at this time. Have faith.

Someone at the dollar store in Ironton missouri, told me that the one in farminton missouri was sold to Kohl's. So now I am wondering if its true. I called the store and the lady there said no they weren't sold, that she knows of. So now I am wondering if there is anything to it, are word hasn't got to them yet.

Value City was the anchor store of downtown Cumberland. My heart aches for all who will be affected by the closing of this store. Hope the Shottensteins & Their liquidation company employees never have a good nights sleep for the rest of their lives.

I certainly was disappointed to hear about the closings of the value city stores. That is one store I have found to be a true savings in most purchases. I will lift those employees up in spirit, blessings in moving on. Hope your search for emploment does not find you too discouraged, there maybe something beter in your future. Good luck. P
