Most of these people had no problem buying toyota and honda instead of gm or ford. Most had no problem shopping at walmart or homedepot while those companies were forcing manufacturing to move to china and mexico for lower cost. How many bought food at non union big y or sams club when they could of shopped at costco or stop &shop. The people in asia will be taking your jobs with a smile and 30 cents an hour.

They should have allowed the members to vote on the 20% cut P & W would have settled for.

Now they get a far deeper cut, to the max unemployment bene, followed by squat.

The 'inflated' Union wages are spent at local stores, pay taxes, buy homes, and make CT the wealthy and livable state it is.

Are you willing to pay the additional taxes to make up for the loss of good paying union jobs?? You will be forced to with the flight of jobs.

I suppose you want everyone to live like an animal in a shack, as you do.

Why do you hate your fellow citizens so much?? Are you that consumed with envy for those making more than you?? You want everyone to live as badly and be as hateful and stupid as you are??

You should change your name to scumbag. Because it fits you better, you nasty little twerp.

Here's a tip. Wear green clothes when you go apply for your green job.
Those good old USA unions are responsible for 50% of the industrial growth in China the past 10 years.

The Democrat-controlled legislature and the union drones who support them are responsible for the continuing economic decline in the state. Too many do-gooder welfare programs and wasteful spending with taxes upon taxes at every turn. Most recently, rather than cut spending in the midst of a major recession, Democrats instead passed a surtax on corporate taxes!!

This state is business unfriendly and as long as voters keep returning these tax & spend liberal Dem's to the statehouse, businesses will continue to struggle and those that have the ability to go elsewhere - will do so.

Dem's = tax & spend = oppressive business climate = fleeing businesses = loss of jobs.

Time to stop the madness.

Thats not so ,you really need to know what your talking about.Ct has the lowest capital gains tax of any state and the share of taxes companies pay verse tax payers are lower than just about any other state. Its all abiout wages .Pratt is sending most of the work to asia for 50 cents an hour

Capital gains tax?!? Capital gains tax?!? We're not talking about capital gains tax, we're talking about the corporate income tax and the 10% surtax that the tax & spend Democrats just passed. Between federal and state corporates taxes, the 10% surtax on the latter, the 2nd highest electrical rates in the country and oppressive unionized wage rates and restrictive work rules that are designed to protect the lazy and incompetent, the Democrat-controlled state legislature has made CT one of the most inhospitable places in America to business if not the world.

You're the one who doesn't know of what you speak.

Georgia is 6%,ct is 7.25 but caps it at 1,000,000 and electric rates do suck. But why stop at just pratt workers. Many more jobs can be sent out for lower wages, just ask walmart ,homedepot or mcdonalds. How about our teachers, utility workers, cops, state troppers, nurses, accountants,et c.These people all make more than a pratt worker.Do you know we can eliminate our high health care cost by just opening the doors to more foreign doctors and nurses who will gladly work for much less. Most teaching jobs can be done by well educated people from india, ireland and other countries. If you can get in a plane that parts were repaired for 50 cents an hour why not have insurance companies require us to go to other countries like india for medical purposes at a fraction of the cost. This isnt about georgia, its about sending work to asia and when we ship enough jobs out of the US there will be nothing left for other people to demand the prices they get for their services.

Did you see the Courant today? The headline at the bottom of the page was Dodd ripping corporations for charging fees. The headline at the top was DMV to increase fees. Dodd can not even control government (yes, for the libs I know DMV is a state agency) spending, yet corporations are not allowed to behave as government does

Dodd. One member of a three-man wrecking crew that created the sub-prime crisis by forcing banks and mortgage companies to provide loans to people who were marginally capable of repaying them, even when times were good. Fannie and Freddie are already in trouble again, and if Dodd and Barney Fudgepacker have anything to say about it, they and the Obama administration will have the Fed bail them out again.

This Democrat-created nightmare isn't over yet.

Shouldn't your name be Mr. Dumbass??

Your attempt to blame the minority Democrats for the financial mess, while we had a Republican President and Congress, only proves what a ignorant tool of the right you are.

It was Republican policies that brought on the Wall St. mess. Especially Phil Gramm.

Remember, it was the Republican Party that said regulations weren't needed. We needed to set free the business sector and let them regulate themselves, according to Bush and his Republican allies. How'd that work out for us??

Turn off Beck for awhile and start facing up to the damage the Republican Party have done to our nation and quit making shit up.

That's why they lost the Presidency and Congress.
