Pratt & Whitney delays decision on job cuts

EAST HARTFORD, Conn. - Jet engine maker Pratt & Whitney said Friday it has delayed for up to a week its decision on whether to eliminate 1,000 jobs by closing one plant and ending some operations at another.

Interesting, state employees saw that the state was holding the cards and their union bent over to avoid layoffs. Not to defend UTC but they held the cards. Should not the union have bent over to keep their members employed.
