Recent good news regarding Beacon Power Corp.'s striking a new $2.8 million deal with the U.S. Energy Dept., and receiving a $43 million green-energy loan from the Obama administration did not stop the Nasdaq from threatening to strip the company of its major-stock exchange status due to its sub-$1 stock price.

The company has staying power, thanks to the taxpayers. The top 3 guys at the company paid themselves almost a combined $1 million and the company hasn't done anything. The stock went from about $10 about 10 years ago to the $0.29 it's at today.

Just my opinion, but if the company had real promise they've been around long enough to attract interest from large private utility companys.

BCON's at .20 now and the co. is almost insolvent.
And there's allegations the DOE is scrutinizing BCON's loan guaqrantee reimbursemtns requests. The Sun should do an invbestigative inquiry into this issue.

And now Beacon Power is just about finished. Too bad, a potentially promising technology. Maybe a little too soon for it's time?
