Will Eco-Activism save the economy?

I am planning to open an "old world" bistro (chain) business, so I think about things like recyclable napkins, biodegradable plastics, organic foods, etc.
Will eco-activism (or rather, let's call it 'energy management,' since it has become practical and not just fashionable) save our economic downturn?
Entreating investors to speculate into the renewable energy market and renewable energy research market may prove to be spiritual and profitable.
