Officials: Extra manpower needed to complete Hamilton Ave. project
“It's the key to getting the project built”
Project managers for the Hamilton Avenue School construction told town officials yesterday that unless manpower significantly increases on site, the oft-delayed project will not be done by May as predicted.
'There has been a consistent shortfall in the manpower,' said Gerry Adams, the project manager from Middletown-based Pinnacle One.
The town's building committee overseeing the project met at the school for the first time to see progress firsthand. Consultants from Pinnacle One and New York City-based URS Corporation told the committee that the 50 workers on average each day is short of the 60 to 65 that are needed. Read more
