Tell ME-- Did the CEO's and their henchmen and the rest of mnagement low life FILL their pockets with golden parachutes and perks and goodies for the rest of their lives and screw the stockholders, employees, passengers? THEY will fill their pockets and then move on to a new airline to wreck and ruin. That's the way it is these days. Figure it out. The employees, with or without a Union, have very little to say about how FAT these guys get. They own the politicians, big name law firms, and could care less about stockholders, employees or passengers.

Make no mistake, Continental saved United from going under. Too bad the 'pretty girl' in this merger ended up Jabba the Hut.

Hey genius ever look at the color of "our" airplanes? Unitied is a pathetic excuse for an airline. Even we at CAL cannot overcome its ineptness.

So, how many paint jobs has United sported in the last 25 years? To them, the Continental scheme is just another one to trash.

Great question. The fact is that until CAL came along and repainted the fleet, one could see ALL of the paint schemes on ONE airplane. There were Ted radomes on light blue airplanes with one dark blue and one light blue engine cowling and a grey wing filet. Half the airline looked like it was put together out of a junkyard. Somewhere on the web there is a picture of one of these "Calico" airplanes. Let us know if you find it. I will check out the web as well.

Soooo True! I work at IAH. When you look up close or inside the planes, you can see the colors of the rainbow. Dirty and dingy..They remind me of some of the third world airports I've flown into. I went to Chicago last year and again last month. The United fleet is drab and poor at best. Although the white gold, and blue pallet are kind of boring, it's a total upgrade for the United fleet.

Seriously people. One just need to look at the MANAGEMENT TEAM powered by none other than L-CO's own Jeffrey Smisek. UAL was at the top until poisoned by garage band level management brought in by CO. Narrow body planes over the Atlantic! Really? Pathetic, at best. L-CO management is pilfering the 8B, yes Billion UAL had in the bank as well as a fleet if 2.5 to 1 ration of WIDE Body planes to try and act like a Major Airline it never could be on its own, not some 2/3's narrow body domestic airline it STILL IS. I encourage you to click the link below and actually READ the testimony. It will surprise the L-CO people to no surprise to find that UAL was SIGNIFICANTLY bigger AND BETTER the CO in all rankings expect one. SELF PERCEPTION! Facts are facts and well should all pray that this visonless greedy management team doesn't take us all down with them.

United was doing very well. Do an internet search and you will see that at the time of the merger, and for about two years prior, UA had the best on-time record of the legacy international carries. Also, they had been making money and were the first carrier in the U.S. to start upgrading their First and Business Classes to 100% lie flat seats. Research before you speak.
