If I could buy Saturn, I would fire the UAW and hire a bunch of Legal Mexicans to build them for 1/2 of what they cost now..and still make a bigger profit. Then I would tell the Legal Mexicans they could vote for whoever they wanted and they would still have a job after the election.
Unlike the UAW. You know. They sell their votes and stuff. That's why Obama loves them so much.
You know. Chicago politics and stuff. You know.

Sad sad direction our country is taking. We are considering moving to another country; we just are not sure which one yet. We liquidated our assets last fall when Obama was gaining strength. Like others where knew the market was a piss poor place to keep your money with Obama coming. It was 10x worse then I imagined. I never dreamed the people of this country would tolerate what is going on. This is not the country we founded!

What do they do with the inventory? Will they sell them or destroy them? Think a fella can get a deal?

Too bad they didn't shutter Saturn 10 years ago, we might still have Olds and Pontiac around....

Or better yet, they should have made the Aztec a Saturn! I don't think Pontiac ever recovered from that one.

Yeah...it's Obama's fault. GM was doing SO well before he took office. They were building high quality, fuel efficient vehicles that held their value. They also used to show up at or near the top of all lists, like customer satisfaction, reliability, quality, etc. MAGICALLY, as soon as Obama got involved GM's products went to hell.

Are you guys friggin serious??? Don't blame anyone but GM leadership and the UAW workers for their demise. If Obama DOESN'T bail them out, you guys would be on here bitching about how he just let them die. He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. I'm not on here cheering for Obama...I want you guys to be realistic about the reason for the situation.

I don't believe this is Bush or Obamma's doings, it is us as a nation. We continuously move work, jobs and manufacturing off shore allowing the rich to get richer at the expense of the middle class and below (those who lose their jobs). Why does this happen - because we foster it. Then, we get "hooked" buying goods from other countries and cannot stop (they are now the primary suppliers). The manufacturing skill set in the US continues to disolve with little hope of redeveloping it. Unfortunately, I lost my job earlier (first time in 35 years) but I had planned to buy a Saturn Sky when things turned around. Those plans are now dead forever - guess I'll buy Japanese like everybody else.

Excellent observation. As far as the Sky goes, there's always the used market. You could still by a Pontiac Solstice. OH WAIT...
