I thought homophobia was antipathy towards homosexuals. Why do I dislike them? They are corrupting the morals of society.
Honey - PHOBIA is fear - actually comes from the Greek word for (you guessed it) fear.

I'll make this simple so you can follow along.

If you are afraid of spiders you are arachnophobic.
If you are afraid of heights you are acrophobic.
If you are afraid of liquids you are hygrophobic.

So if you are homophobic you have a fear of homosexuals. We have changed the word to mean people that don't like gays and lesbians but it actually means FEAR.

You have an opinion that gays are corrupting the moral of society. But since society constantly updates and changes it's moral it difficult to character change as corruption.

The term corruption, in this sense, is subjective. You don't want society to change and therefore you use the term "corruption".

Society changes honey, get over it. Chances are no gay people want to bother you anyway.

It IS homophobia to think that we are.
Society certainly needs no help from us to corrupt it's morals. lol
All those little communities that always say "we aint got none of them queeerz" seem to have enough "moral" decay all by their lonesome.
Thatís why I am a homophobe! Precisely because I think that.

I just donít like homosexuals. Thatís just the way it is. And there is nothing wrong with that. Somethings we like, somethings we donít. You, for example, probably donít like religious fundamentalists.

The meaning of words change over time. Gay used to mean light-hearted joyousness.

Homophobia now means dislike for homosexuals or opposition to the homosexual agenda to corrupt the morals of society.

So what?

Why do you think what YOU like and dislike should be the law of the land.

There's a word for that: arrogance.

Gay STILL means lighthearted and joyous.

And homophobia STILL means fear.

Just because you add additional definitions doesn't mean you remove the other definitions.
