Tea party complicated GOP Senate math

Nov 6, 2010 Full story: The Topeka Capital-Journal 273

Tea party-backed candidates proved both a help and a hindrance to Republicans in the midterm elections, injecting enthusiasm into campaigns around the country but losing Senate seats held by Democrats in Delaware, Colorado and Nevada that the GOP once had big hopes of capturing.

"treasonous teabaggers"? Sounds exactly like the extremism you pretend to berate. Adherence to the Constitution may counbt as extremism in a radicals playbook, but not to most reasonable people with any reasonable understanding of our Foundation(s).

"theocratic goals"? That would be the "share the wealth - for fairness' sake" crowd. That would be the enviros pushing their "green agenda" based on the discount pseudo-religion of "climate change". That would be selective enforcement of the law based on pre-concieved, but ill-concieved notions of enforced "fairness" at the expense of others.

A Nation of Laws and not Men is hardly theocratic, or treasonous, or any other derogatory term you can conjur. A nation of whims is the greatest failure of all.

And I believe that those yelling about "'socialism''communist,' and 'Marxism'" know exactly what they speak of. The most virulent anti-communists, anti-socialists, anti-marxists are those who've lived under those systems - and have escaped from them, often losing everything in the process, including family and what little assets that they had. Next in line to abhor these institutions are those who understand them well. Those who see clearly the abysmal conditions that these institutions have wrought. Those who see the inherent UNfairness of false fairness enforced at gun point.

Bucky, go forth and educate yourself before spewing ignorant vitriol. And get a new name - Yer not very subtle.

Bill O’Reilly, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Anne Coulter, the list goes on. Conservative, Republicans, Independents?, debatable, but one thing is certain, if you mention the “Birthers” or “Eligibility”, they will burst into uncontrollable laughter and derision, getting off the subject just as soon as they are able.“Why, aren’t we all on the same side?” you ask. The answer is simple, It is because these well known media pundits have allowed themselves to become, despite their “Right wing” reputations, Marxist puppets.

You got the wrong GOP.

The GOP of the Bush era was the closest to a theocratic one.

The TP polls show theocratic potential GOP candidates like Huckabee and Pence way down the list.

You'll find Christie and Romney near the top not Huckabee and Christie.

Of course you may know that but are just throwing out a little " Fearmongering ".

pelosi, reid, and odumba didn't drain their swamp - they just joined in the constant fraud & lies of the dumbocraps!
in 2012 America's Tea Party will seal the deal by giving the GOP the senate & get rid of our idiot socialist-in-thief odumba!!!!!
IT'S GREAT----------CONGRATULATIONS LISA
JOB WELL DONE

I for one am supporting Lisa Murkowski for showing up the Tea Party status quo. She really showed her mettle in this runoff.
I'm afraid Joe will have to try again. I wonder if anyone will even know the name Sarah in 2012. I think the Republican party wants to forget she ever existed. KIND OF COMICAL.

Oh. I DO practice what I preach
When, on the rare occasion, I cite anothers work, I give proper attribution
So too, do almost all of the other Right Wingers.

Presenting anothers work as their own is, at least from what I've seen, strictly a Leftie thing. We've seen it time and again. We've even posted links to the original article(s) as proof. Time and again.

If you think something we posted is correctly someone elses - PROVE IT! Don't just claim it.

Usually, I prefer my own words unless someone else does FAR superior of explaining an issue.

That is the way most Rightwingers are.

Just do it right or else don't do it at all.

Lefties are starkly UNoriginal and pass their "better" talking points on, making them very easy to track.

It's called theft, and in the case of writing, it's called plagiarism

Of course most REgressives have a distinct lack of courtesy and NO compunction against theft.
What's mine is mine, what's yours is mine - is that how REgressives think? Apparently so.

RightWingers don't ask to be exalted, but then again, they're not hypocritical thieves. Nor are they trying to control the lives of others via Obummer(non)care, usurious tax rates, governmental dependancy, etc

If you can't stand the heat - go
Your choice

As I said from the start, the Teabaggers would cost the GOP control of the Senate. Any republican could have won Florida & Kentucky this year, just like any normal GOP could have won Delaware, Nevada, & Colorado.
The Teabaggers weren't looking at the big picture. A RINO in Delaware & Colorado & Nevada would have given them contol of the Senate. Instead they went for "purity" and cost the GOPasaurs contol of Congress.
Delaware has been a blue state since the early nineties. Obama won it in 2008 by a margin of 62% to 37%. The only reason they liked Castle was that he was a "moderate" Republican, better known as a RINO. He had an American Conservative Union rating of 52% and was voted the most liberal voting record in the 175+ Republican Caucus. A RINO is no good to the Repubs if he votes with the Dems. So congrats to the Tea Party. If you want to vote as a Dem, then run as a Dem.

Very true. Castle also said he would support another "assault weapons" ban and he was for cap and trade.

I'm surprised he didn't switch to democrat long ago.
