Tea party complicated GOP Senate math

Nov 6, 2010 Full story: The Topeka Capital-Journal 273

Tea party-backed candidates proved both a help and a hindrance to Republicans in the midterm elections, injecting enthusiasm into campaigns around the country but losing Senate seats held by Democrats in Delaware, Colorado and Nevada that the GOP once had big hopes of capturing.

The socialist countries? You mean the ones with a higher standard of living, union, medical care ranked above the US in all respects, high middle class wages, retirement pensions, vacation benefits, strong currency, members of NATO, and getting ready to expell muslims that refuse to conform to in place cultural norms? Are those the socialists you refer to?
Higher standard of living? Based on self-reported satisfaction. Most of these Countries do not offer, nor do citizens expect, any economic mobility. In truth, often our "poor" enjoy a better life than the upper-middle class in other Countries when actual realized incomes are accurately compared.

"union"? Whatever that is. I assume you mean Unionization. But there is little comparison. European unions are called Guilds and exist to protect their employers and their own skill levels as much as anything. Where their "unions" exist, as in the US, to indemnify member incompetence, the Countries are failing.

medical care ranked above the US in all respects? Except that they rely on US medical innovation, US drugs, & US developed procedures. Atop that, they often "jigger" their reporting. Child deaths, up to two years of age, call for rewriting vital stats as "stillbirths". Unrequested "assisted suicides" are listed as "natural death". Industrial accidents do not occur where industry does not exist. Again, it's based on self-reporting and not consistent standards.

"high middle class wages"? Only go so far when individual rates are up to 55% and the VAT (sales tax) is 24%. At that point, self sufficiency and freedom from governmental subsidy and dependence is a given.

retirement pensions? Are breaking their economies. Greece - broken. The UK - broke. Spain - broke. And the rest are close behind.

"vacation benefits"? See "retirement benefits".

"strong currency"? That is a JOKE!!!!

"members of NATO"? Funded by the US, manned by the US, armed by the US, and incapable of defending themselves against a determined Girl Scout Troop.

"getting ready to expell muslims that refuse to conform to in place cultural norms"? Only because they've seen what the muslim riots in France, Greece, the UK, and Turkey have done. They've known for 70 years what appeasement is, and what granting nearly unrestricted immigration is for 30 years. And yet, they've attempted to use muslim immigration to replenish the diminished native workforce with an immigrant population. And that immigrant population has refused to assimilate and work. Has, in fact, added stress to an already overburdened system.

You know, the ones with all the above plus high tax rates an National Defense second to none and have kicked every army that ever tried to invade/destroy them to hell? Are those the weak kneed socialists you want to talk about?
The TEA baggers are John Bearch on steroids. A clear and present danger to democracy in this nation, a group intent on driving this nation, and the world, into a 3rd Great Depression devistation. A group of end-of-timer chrisatian taliban itching to force Armageddon on the world to fullfill thier warped view of religion. A group of ignorant doctors and dentists whose fiscal knowledge of the US financial system is less than that of a 13 year old girl. Whose political acium stopped at 1783. Like I said, a clear and present danger to mankind and deserving extermination regardless of thier means of livelihood.
Your doubts are equal to lack of knowledge in all things real and worthwhile. Find comfort in your doubts. It will be one of the last thing you ever think about.
A conglomerate of wackos pure and simple.
Just out of curiosity, what socialist countries with higher standards of living, unions, medical care ranked above the U.S. in all respects, high middle class wages, retirement benefits, vacation benefits, strong currencies and getting ready to expel Muslims that refuse to conform to in place cultural norms are you referring to?

The countries that are on the verge of bankruptsy? England and France, where the people are protesting and rioting because some of their government handouts are getting cut? Germany, which is doing better than most of its neighbors, where 26% of workers belong to unions and the average wage is about $36,000 a year, compared to the American average, which is $50,000?

Israel gave up, for the most part, Socialism in 1984. Their tax rates are now 1/2 the rate of the US, and dropping. US corporate rates are 39.9%, while Israels are 18% and dropping to 12% by 2014. US individual rates will range from 15%- 39.9%(when the 2003 rate cuts expire v Israels individual rates of 10%(on the first $57,240) to 45%(above $472,081).

To borrow a phrase - "Bite Me!" What you're spewing is the Leftists discount diatribe, and holds no weight. That was a valueless rant, and nothing more.

Another death threat? Based on ignorance? If'n yer say so. We base our facts and doubts on level-headed criteria, and not on the Kool-aid pool. And yes, I DO find comfort in facts, whether I like 'em or not. At least I can deal with reality and not illusion.

I would bet most Tea Party people are educated well past the level you are. The ones I know would at least be able to compose a post with proper grammar.
I find it hard to believe any of this countries armed services had standards low enough that they would have accepted you. All you can hope to be is a keyboard commando. A wart on the posterior of America.
Well, they got your vote with that grammar.

Survival instincts will do that. Especially after 90% of you people have been slaughtered and the greatest part of the rest of the world hates you with undue passion.

I think the thing that really gets JQP is that the Tea Party people set back for years and let the "progressives" push their garbage. We were just going about our business and figured voting against them was enough. Now they are unable to run us over and silence us.

They finally got their courage up and went too far with the healthcare power grab. That monstrosity woke us up to the fact that just voting against them was not enough. We have to speak out when our government no longer has our consent.

Look at all of JQP's diatribes against the Tea Party. None have any facts. Just rants calling good people all kinds of slanderous things.

TEA baggers are a conglomerate of neo nazi, fascists, dead enders, en-of-timers, Armageddon wanters, birthers, narrow minded dentists and doctors and all other fringe elements unable to intergrate into the middle class

It is apparent to us who the real nuts are. They are bitterly clinging to the failed idea of a socialist utopia. They cling to class warfare. They cling to the false idea that they are the majority. They are always generous with other people's money. They never met a government intrusion into our lives that they didn't like.

Hey ,they were insane all along. This last election just pushed them over the edge.

Here is a math question for you. The national debt tops 13 trillion dollars. How many congressional seats will the "progressives" lose?

OH, that's so sweet of you to call my posts diatribe. Musta been hard to find it in the dictionery. Usually you call posts rants. I am so honored that you could pull your head out of your arse long enough to notice something other than your colon. Gotta go. Keep that poison pen dripping and the fantasys colorful. Maybe FOX New Entertainment Editorials spontaneous programed public reaction pundits will call you for a screen test. Remember to bleech your hair blond, shave the moustache and kiss Hannity arse a lot.

Wow fruitcake, you refer to my posts as "poison pen". I shouldn't be surprised since you thought Che was a conservative. Thanks for the comic relief.
