Fayette County is not listed in any of these categories. Are we in the Warning category or has that been changed? Thanks.

Many of you have many questions about the approaching snowstorm:
What is snow?
Where does it come from?
Why is snow so cold?
How long will snow last?
How can I remove snow from my car?
What will happen if snow touches suede?

While I don't have any answers, rest assured, I am doing all that I can to find the answers to these questions and will get back to you as soon as I have solid answers to these questions. Until then, do NOT go outside, do not even look out your window.

Wait, let me guess: you have a test on punctuation/capitalization/sen tence structure tomorrow, and you didn't study...?

Winter weather advisories to the north, but that's where the heaviest snowfall will be, while counties to the south and east are the ones with the winter storm warning? Perhaps I'm misunderstanding.

If we've had ABOVE normal amounts of Snow already WHY do they bring MORE?! Why don't they make it rain if we need moisture or something? Just because it's "winter" means they need to make it snow?!
Any thoughts?

Inspired----> I agree with you totally. According to NOAA ( weather.gov ) the explanations according to how and why a certain Advisory or Warning is issued is questionable. They state that if you receive 3 inches or less that is when they issue an "Advisory". Three to five inches is given a "Watch" and five inches and more is given a "Warning", so with projected snowfall amounts listing themselves at five to seven inches give or take, then why still under the "Advisory" mode. I guess is that maybe they still don't know how much snow will actually fall? Maybe more than forecast?

These are all very tricky questions. Snow can be confusing. We will have mental health lines opening up soon to take calls to help calm your anxieties. The best advice, stay indoors and avoid looking at the snow until we can crack this mystery wide open!

I'm retired. All you grand children of us baby boomers just shut up, get up early, shovel out your SUV's, and pay your taxes.
