Please tell me you will be hiring US Citizens for these positions. You will find loads of American Citizens who are bi-lingual.

Too bad it's located near El Paso...who wins?

The city of El Paso cause those dollars aren't being spent in Otero County, only residual funds to have the prison on our taxpaying dollar lands.

I'm glad it's closer to El Paso. Any criminals that escape will be up there and not here.

Well, my Dad works there now, and he lives here. So guess he wins. And he's not bilingual.

Hopefully they will hire Chaparral citizens first. The first Otero prison hired many Chaprral residents but very few of those are still working there. I wonder why and I dont know if they filled those jobs with more Chaparral residents.

Chaparral Residents have allowed their community to be turned into Chaparral, MEXICO.

Gang & Drug activity is rampant, sure there are still some good residents there, fewer and fewer.
How many of your neighbors speak English?

Well, since we will defeat the Spaceport tax, I guess prisons will be the industry of choice in Otero County.

as if the Spaceport was actually 'industry' that would be employing any county residents.

I worked there for about a year, although they did hire a lot of people from Chaparral they also hired people from El Paso and many aren't there no more. The company hires lot of young adult and they just get caught up in the action and different things that go on.

Not necessarily(sp). When you are on the "run" it doesn't matter which direction you go.

Like the spaceport is actually going to hire from here and the persons applying would drive that far. After fuel prices what is going to be the take home pay?

Let's face it. The only jobs of the future that we know will have high demand are prisons and healthcare. Crime and death are here to stay!

They just finished building a new Mariott, in the downtown area. It is right next to the Ramada. I hear they are going to start construction on a new casino sometime next year. Stay at the Ramada, the pool is nicer than the one at the Mariott.
