I saw on the news that the infamous "Mission Accomplished" banner will hang in Dumbya's "presidential center", which is probably so named because none dare call the building dedicated to Mr. "Childrens do learn" a library. What a fitting acquisition, a perfect monument to both epic fail and epic obliviousness. Now if we could only find that copy of "My Pet Goat". Maybe we could build a duplicate of the bedroom on Air Force One, where Dumbya spent those critical hours right after the attack on 9/11. Perhaps it could be an interactive exhibit, with visitors taking turns hiding under the bed. Perhaps they could announce that the "presidential center has a Weapons of Mass Destruction Room, and offer a prize to the visitor who finds it. How about a room dedicated to displays of implements of torture? They have one at Tuol Sleng prison in Phnom Penh, which is now a museum. I can tell you that it makes my skin crawl just thinking about that exhibit even now. That was fairly low-tech torture, so imagine how much more impressive American-engineered torture implements will be.

Hold on Obama is having a lot of Iraq's people moving into Lowell. I hope that their backgrounds have been checked. Several families moved to Lowell last year. This country better be careful enough is enough with bring the citizens of another country to the USA after war. The serviceman fought for their freedom in the country they live in. Not to come over here for freeby's.
The Iraqis being resettled into Lowell are people who assisted the US and British troops, acting as translators, guides, informants, etc. Because they are so heavily identified with the Americans, they are highly likely to be killed if we don't get them out. These are people who risked their lives to help us, and without them, US casualties would have been higher and our missions would have been less successful. The least you can do is recognize that some American troops are alive today because these people risked their own lives to cooperate with them. It ain't a "freeby", or even a freebie if you earned it by putting your life on the line.

Our troops in Afghanistan are dependent on people in that country performing essentially the same roles. If we toss the Iraqis who helped us to the wolves on our way out, the lesson for the Afghans our troops try to recruit will be that in the long run it isn't worth it to help the Americans, because the Taliban will remember you long after the Americans have forgotten all about you. That message will get American troops killed.

You're right, I'm sure the Iraqi people would love to go back to the days when Saddam and his boys were in power. The Iraqis dearly miss the rape rooms, tortures, beheadings and dismemberments that went on with the Hussain family in charge.
Right, Bush kept the world safe from torture. Oh, wait, ummm, never mind.

All politicians make me sick, They all want some outrageous temple built in there name the Clinton, Teddy, Bush library, or whatever shrine. Especially in these times where so many people are hurting, it would be nice to see one of them actually build something that improved the lives of Americans. Hey Bush how about a wing on Walter Reed for the wounded men and women? Or Teddy's family how about a walk in clinic for the poor, or Clinton oh forget it!

Millions of Americans love Palin. She wrote a book that shot to the top of all the best seller lists.
Her TV show set records on it's opening night.
By the time 2012 gets here, Obama will have done so much more to destroy this country that Palin will win in a landslide.
I hope she runs, you betcha lol it would be the best thing for the democrats

Bush authorized torture (waterboarding and sleep deprivation, etc) to gather intelligence that saved American lives.
The Husseins used torture to satisfy their own sadistic pleasures.
Little bit of a difference don't you think?

Not really. The Husseins kept that region in check. When America is out of that region it won't belong before you have chaos. One other thing China killed many more than the Husseins you don't see us bombing them.

That's as funny as a fart in a space suit.

Kept the region in check by killing 180,000 kurds, draining the wetlands of the south and killing families of opponents. Seems like you favor that form of government.

"kept the region in check"? What a horrible way to run a country. Iraq invaded a sovreign nation--Kuwait--and then violated 17 UN sanctions while thumbing it's nose at the rest of the world.
China doesn't treat it's people well, but they're not invading their neighbors.

They didn't keep the region in check, things were more unstable then than now. We are there to help stabilize the region.
There are many nations throughout the world that treat their people horribly--China, N. Korea, and many African nations--among others. We do our best to keep world peace, but we choose our battles carefully.
