Bonnie Blah...have a nice cup of mugwort tea and relax a bit. It will all be over soon.
I know it will...and when its done I will be waiting on Browns Valley Parkway to see who comes for the stupid signs Harris put out there!

I think its odd that the paper is not acknowledging the fact that no one on the current city council is endorsing Harris....

Maybe we should talk to her current team mates and see why they are not supporting her?!?!?!?!

Do you have -any- links to endorsements for Hardy from any of the other council members?

But equally interesting that Hunt desperately wishes Harris had endorsed him and has his people going around telling people with Harris yard signs that she IS supporting him and therefore they should put a Hunt sign in the yard too. She is not supporting him but he obviously wishes she was... I wonder why??

Go look in their front yards...they have signs up saying who they are backing...

and maybe try contacting them yourself and asking...or actually read the literature on the other candidates...because its all on their flyers/mailers/hangers

EDUCATE YOURSELVES!!!....election time is here and we all need to make sure we are doing whats right for the city...not just groups...the whole city!!!

I don't believe their is a truth to that...I spoke with Hunt yesterday about several things and one was his signs...

Because he was endorsed by a lot of the same people Harris was...they are putting their signs up in the same areas...some people are choosing to endorse people in set groups because of the public entities who are supporting them (example: the city chamber of commerce endorsed Harris, Hunt, and Fortney) this is why you see Hunts signs with theirs...

Hunt was also endorsed with Hardy and Mashburn (Vacaville Police Officer Association and Vacaville Firefighters Association) so you see his signs up with those candidates as well...

Hunt got the right and necessary endorsements and I am happy for his success.

can you provide any specific examples of where Hunt has begged Harris for her support?....and REMEMBER....just because some candidates were endorsed together does not mean they support each other...you should ask HUNT you he supports!.....

1...yes I did...I almost joined the Soroptimist group because of her...I still might join...but of course I have to fight the good election fight for our city first ;) and your right I didn't look up...I am taller than her; however like I said before, I admired her as a public figure...UNTIL these elections.
2....STEVE HARDY was on city council from 2002 - 2007 (my mistake for saying mayor...I did mean city council)
3....As Harris your self....any of the city officials (city manager, council)....
or anyone of the firefighters on the Political Actions Comm. or their Association Board...

Fight the good election fight? You are laughable. I did ask Harris about the firefighters and police. If you attended the Mayoral Forum you would have heard it first hand from Harris. There's probably still time to look it up on www.vacavilletv.org . Open your eyes and your ears. You will learn something. You will learn you are WRONG about Harris (or maybe you simply prefer to believe anything anyone tells you because you are too lazy to get the information yourself).

That's interesting - I did some research - Harris is not a Soroptimist - she's a Rotarian. At least get your service groups right if you are going to play this silly game of yours.

Harris disrespected the City of Vacaville. This is very important issue because she wants to be the Mayor of the City of Vacaville. If this is not important then nothing is. If all the candidates did what she did it would of been a safety hazard. For her not to respect the City's request is a disgrace. Hardy has my vote.

have you read any of my posts? Harris and I have talked face to face one on one several times over the past year....she has flat out lied to me about her stance on PD and Fire staffing and contracts....earlier this year she said one thing...then she voted another way....then she came back and avoided the whole situation to try and get an endorsement. and now she is saying she has plans to save the city without PD and Fire....

she is only dedicated to a small group of people in this city...her loyalties do not lay with the citizens. She has shown me this personally...the things she has said and done are so silly....only her actions in the future can fix it (kinda' like a time will tell situation)....but her actions during this election are still showing me SILLY!

I don't believe things I see on TV or in adds....this is why I am asking people to actually get out and talk to the candidates one on one, or in a group setting...

speeches and rhetoric are meaningless...sure anyone can pay off someone to design a great web site...to write their speeches, to do their hair, pick their clothes, direct their commercials and put up their rediculus signs ALL OVER this great city of ours...but just because they look nice and say the 'right' things...doesn't mean they can lead or make good choices for the group as a WHOLE!

I don't see how you can call me lazy when I'm asking people to do like me and get off the computer...stop watching tv...go to the meetings and see for yourselves!!!

Most of the comments made in this forum are personal opinions and I did not realize my sentence structure was that important. Obviously you understood what I was saying. YOU sound like a jacka$$.

I also think it is important to vote for the best candidate. Voting for those who have the most money does not mean anything when it comes to who is going to do the best job. Vote for the ones who will do the best for Vacaville. That would be Hunt, Haedy and Mashburn.

Its mostly frustration! I fear what will happen to this city if she is elected...I truly love this city; work hard everyday to maintain the way of life here...
Harris has done nothing but ride coat tails and use good rhetoric to get to where she is at...her campaign states:
"Indecision and slow processes impede job growth."....how many times have we heard her on the council say "I don't know..." or "I agree with the Mayor"...INDECISIONS!!!! Seriously; if you have ever watched a city council meeting where a real decision is being made...this is what she does
"Over the last two years I have made the difficult decisions to stabilize city spending."....what difficult decisions...oh yeah she attempted to take money and bodies from public safety in Vacaville...
"We cannot afford to duplicate services; itís simply a waste of resources."....what is she talking about?! Why couldn't she have fixed this while she is on City Council...why does she have to be Mayor to make a difference? If she saw a problem with duplicating services she should have addressed it on the spot!!!
"My commitment to public safety is unwavering, even in the midst of budget challenges."....then why does she REFUSE to meet with any bored member of our public safety associations?!?!?!
and her 'non-profit organization' she is always using as an example of how she will save the city from gangs....we all know she is talking about her church...DONT GET ME WRONG...I am a strong supporter of the church being involved in our neighborhoods and think the 'adopt-a-block' is a great idea for the church...BUT...church does not belong in politics (again with her rhetoric)...why are you leaning on the success of your church? sounds like she might have some 'special interests' as she said in her own commercial!
"I will also insist that our resources focus community attention on the most troubled crime/gang areas of our city.".....insist all you want Harris...but when it comes down to it you can try to aid public safety with programs like your suggesting...but you cant replace it...
Vacaville needs its Fire, Police and Paramedics...Did anyone happen to notice not a single person who is currently on city council is supporting or endorsing Harris?....Why don't you look around!
Vacaville needs a leader who is willing to AT LEAST talk about issues...not avoid them and avoid making decisions!
Again I will ask the public to consider all the options before voting....don't just do whats popular (and colorful)....do whats right for our city!....WE are the ones who pay in the long run...NOT the city manager, NOT the city attorney...and NOT city council!!!
This why my vote goes to HARDY
