Windstorm batters Minnesota, Midwest

A massive storm with wind gusts up to 81 mph howled across the nation's midsection Tuesday, stranding hundreds of airport passengers in the Twin Cities and causing thousands of power outages.

I have a 50 foot tall pear tree. The tree has been in my yard for over 35 years , the trunk about 3 feet in diameter...and is snapped about 3 feet from it's base and is laying all over my back yard...yea, I'd say it was windy.....
