This is a tragedy. I wonder if this is an innocent victim.

The story does seem to be missing come key information, we know there's a shooting, but there's nothing that says why it happened or even if the perpetrators tried to rob the place, were targeting someone in there, or just opened the door and started shooting.

The article states that 3 men walked in and starting shooting and made no demands and they didn't rob the place. I know the victim and can tell you that she was a sweet, awesome young lady who had her whole future ahead of her. She definetly did not deserve this and can only pray that they find these men who did this. She will be missed.

YES THE VICTIM WAS AN INNOCENT YOUNG LADY. BECCA KEMP....I PERSONALLY KNEW BECCA AND SAW HER 2 DAYS AGO. SHE WAS A BRIGHT YOUNG LADY WITH HER WHOLE FUTURE AHEAD OF HER. SHE CAME FROM MOUNT VERNON TEXAS A VERY SMALL TIGHT KNIT COMMUNITY WHERE EVERYONE KNOWS EVERYONE. WE ALL GREW UP TOGETHER. BECCA HAD A BEAUTIFUL SMILE AND IT IS HARD KNOWING WE WILL NEVER SEE THAT BEAUTIFUL SMILE AGAIN. I MISS HER TERRIBLY....AND PRAY THEY FIND THE MEN THAT DID THIS.
REST IN PEACE BECCA
AND MY PRAYERS GO OUT TO BEC'S FAMILY.

Then why was she in a head shop? I think the future looked kind of smoky if you ask me...

Me and a couple of friends had been going to the the store for a year where she worked and had commented at least a few times that she was always so warm and friendly. So this news is very sad indeed.

Yea you know those violent pot smokers, always looking for a victim to support their habit.

Your saying she deserved to die for going to a business that has been around for, I don't know, 20 years that I know of, at least.

Who cares why she was there. They sell other things there you know. Despite my misgivings about drug use or even smoking, I don't think that simply being 'in' a store like that warrants a girl's death.

No, we know why she died. It's because of a group of people whose true names get a person censored here.(Hint: it starts with the letter "N")

These thugs thought it would be 'cool' to shoot someone, so they did. Gosh...I do hope they try that with me. The news story will look significantly different in that case. The headline would be something like "Dallas a bit safer tonight, three wanna-be 'gangsta thugs' are dead after trying their BS crap with the wrong guy"

Good question...Why was she in a place like that? Doper I guess? It's obviously true, drugs do kill one way or another.

No not really. Stealing for drugs sure. But looking around a head shop, naw don't think that's grounds for execution. But the n**ger that shot up the place, I guess drugs ruined his life..one way or another.

I cannot belive all of the poor hypocrits that for lack of common sense think the reason for this girls murder was drug related. This young lady had a legal job and worked hard like anyone else does, regardles of where it was! Its this kind of uneducation that make hard working Americans look bad! I feel sorry for you naysayers, but Becca is the true victim hee.

Did the police find the other 2 suspects that were with the shooter yet? I have "Googled" this case every day and have not found out anything about the other 2 perps.

Are you saying she was drug-free. Funny my daughter is, and let me tell you she would never even go in one of those places.
If she was so smart and talented, surely she could have worked in a better place. Everyone knows what they sell in this place.

So your Angel is perfect. Maybe you could learn a little something from her. You come across as a condescending witch. Let me explain something to you, this girl did not work at the Gas Pipe, a legitimate business that has existed for over two decades.

1. She walked in as a customer.
2. A thug walked in and opened fire. He has since been captured and disposed of.

I don't know her, never met her but your not going to sit there and use your "perfect kid" to put down someone who did nothing wrong. I don't know your kid either but I am sure she is not perfect. Why don't you mind your own business because nobody else really cares about you or your star child.

Yes, well my daughter wouldn't go in a store like that.
Too bad this smart girl did.
Sometimes it's the type of places people frequent that gets them in the line of fire.
