At least Japan has the Aegis too. Having a modern Aegis destroyer can control a swath of sea territory. PRC navy is still very 3rd world. Plus, the training and education of the PRC naval personnel cannot compete against non-communist forces. A modern navy requires a tremendous amount of technical skills to operate sophisticated equipment.

If there is a conflict with a non-communist navy, Red China's rust bucket, Russian equipped navy would be embarrassed. It will be pretty ugly!
