I proposed a shift in the route of the Keystone Pipeline east of Seward away from the Central Midwest Aquifer and floodplain, not for just these reasons, but also because it is not in the long-term public interest of the people of Seward. Currently the pipeline route is in close proximity to the city water wells of Seward. TransCanada wants to bury the pipeline on my family's farm 4 feet deep below the soil surface above the aqifer within 1/2 mile of the city of Seward.
