Don't bother staying at the Red Roof Inn in Monroe, MI. The rooms are not bad at first site, but in actuality they are poorly maintained. The wall outlets are dangerous, if you put anything in the outlets, the plugs fall back out and create a hazard. When I spoke with management, they didn't want to help or do anything to make it right. Upon reporting this to the front desk, they just dismissed it and acted very unconcerned about the issue.

It made a difference in our stay. You get the feeling that while you are sleeping, something may fall out, or halfway out and create a fire hazard. Upon contacting regional management, they didn't want to do too much to make things right either.

All in all, not a good place to stay, especially when there are six other hotels to stay at on the street, and we're not talking about a high tourism town here. Take my advice - if Red Roof Inn doesn't show they care about the customer, why would we want to come back? Going to Monroe again this weekend, I'll be staying at one of the other hotels, especially when from past experience, the other hotels were much more pleasant and attentive to us.
