We are a retail employed family and TRU is NOT Target. They have NO Hr department to protect thier employees. They use a device called a PDA, as does Target, to help keep track of thier inventory. MOST TRU team members, including store managers, have no idea how to use the PDA. Target's 'be in stock' practice is not present at TRU. If you can't keep track of your instock, how can you drive sales. Storch seems to have forgoten the most important things about Target and it shows.

I wonder if Toys 'R Us has considered a layway plan like Kmart is doing.
It will be interesting to see how the market share gets divvied up between Target, Kmart, and Wal-Mart...and TRU.
Dr. Tantillo, who has a marketing blog ( http://blog.marketingdoctor.tv ), just did a post on Target and their new ad campaign, highlighting their emphasis on low prices.

You might want to check your facts before making posts. You obviously have no comprehesion of the TRU structure. There is in fact an HR department. Jerry Storch has done wonderful things for that company. I understand you are probably a Target employee and just scared of losing market share, but don't be ignorant.
